Were this a real story, there would be no curiosity. No contacting the toxic family that screwed him over. I would simply have changed my number so none of this bullshite would happen to begin with. Had they still contacted me? I'd have simply texted "f*ck off". I wouldn't even waste my time giving them a job either. They deserve nothing. The rest of this story makes this guy pathetic. I wouldn't waste my time dealing with them.

This type of business is not far fetached. With very cheap import products. Its easy. To see thatvthis is a possibility. Its the attuide of OP , he knows he is not the scum his family played him to be. Working hard never hurt any. I , like many , worked outside my family ,they had not idea i was doing great without the family. This is the American way.

In real situations like this you only go back for ego, narrow mindedness, vendetta, vengeance and in-your-face. It'll only leave you empty and show you how much you have NOT grown. Because if you had actually grown you would have just thrown the money at your lacks parents and walked away with your head held high. You know you didn't have a family, if you did real parents would have put a harsh stop to that crap as soon as it started. Don't think this story is authentic though.
