Friend. Don't get discouraged. Automotive drawing is HARD. Drawing in perspective in general is difficult. Everyone starts and grasps things at different rates. Don't let it get you down. Keep practicing and things will eventually "click." If I showed you my drawings when I started, you'll probably find the same issues you are facing. Keep at it. I promise if you put in the effort, you will see improvement!

That was a long time ago. The DVD was sold on Amazon years ago and I no longer have them online. I do however, have the entire DVD contents as a downloadable on Gumroad if you are interested. It's higher rez than the DVD too.

Could I use this technique to draw any car? I ask this because there are some cars that have longer roofs than the body, like a wagon, and there could also be cars that are very short.

Sure you can. You have to start with your side view and establish the proportions first. Study the proportion of the car you want to draw....even draw a rectangle over your reference photo(side view) and measure your wheel base, top of the roof line, windshield, etc. You then project these details in perspective but use more guidelines to determine the location of your details. I'll see if I can create another video on this.

its ugly. its not powerful, its ugly. the grill itself is to wide from top to bottom, and to make it worse they got that god aweful fugly black surround making it look even bigger and blockier...why?! like, look at the GT3 or GTD...that grill is narrow and aggressive and sexy...this grill is ugly and wide, its like the difference between an inbred whale shark and a tigershark... that grill ruins the whole car visually. its truly awful.

Very true. I didn't think of that. That's the issue with thumbnail sketching because the sketches are so small that the hand can covwr it up. Thanks for letting me know.

I was using a prismacolor marker. I think a 40% grey....but you can use anything..just takes practice.
