Vad är måtten på den? Går det att baka bröd i den?

Boy that seems like a huge waste of wood. When you look at how much wood you started with and the size of the finished spoon that was a lot of waste!
@susanp.collins78347 ай бұрын
What would have been done with the wood otherwise. It would have gone into the fireplace. This spoon will last a long, long time. They took a spoon out of an archeological site in Russia that was dated at 21000 years old.

Interesting use of the shave horse at 13:20. This whole method is pretty much how I go about making spoons. Much faster than trying to get them out with just a sloyd knife.

Reading other languages, I can often pickup clues as to what they are saying, but Danish? The only words that gave me any hint were 'fastholder' (holdfast?) and 'hulkniven' might be a cutting tool. Oh yeah, 'sandpapir.'

Hey Simon, great job. If that was your very first spoon, then I'd love to see what you're producing now after a few years. You're obviously a natural who thinks about the cuts your making. I'll have to check out your other videos. Thanks 👍

I just made my 1st spoon over the weekend took a few hours but used just my Mora Companion and Cold Steel Finn Wolf and a lil sandpaper. Nice hatchet what kind is it?

Thanks Simon. Wonderful thing to watch. I'm a complete beginner so tutorials like these are so valuable. Couple of questions if you have the time: 1. What's the benefit of these long handled hook knives? 2. Could you explain again the process of heating the wood up before sanding? Thank you again.

I carved my very first spoon with a dremel but it came out more like a scoop. Lovely for spooning sugar into my tea though.

Many thanks for showing and please keep up the good work ...

Sanding for armatures and ruins the character of this kind of work. Nothing will ever be better than the final cut of a sharp blade Minor facets are left as part of the evidence of handwork.
