I love the way you explain things! It feels like my friend when she is explaining something to me lol. I feel like you explain it in a way where everyone can feel like they are capable. Thank you, this is what I needed.

I am forty-one and in my final year of uni. Learning has always been a challenge for me - I have a slow processing disorder, so, once I finished high school, in 1999, I had no interest in continuing formal education. When I turned 36, I decided that I wanted more out of life, so enrolled at college. It required challenging my self-concept. Today, I enjoy learning but still find it difficult. Thanks for making this video, Penrose. I am sure it will have utility for many people. Best regards, C.

This video is a gift to us all. I am a middle-aged Mum who is going back to school for the first time in 30 years at the end of this month. Not to get a better job, but just because I miss learning new ideas so much. But I have been nervous. Your video really reassured me and got me excited all over again!

Why Video Games, Drugs and Alcohols are more interesting than homwork? ANswer: Dopamine What is Dopamine? > Brain Chemical > Drive of whatever you do > Parkinson is when you lose movement, because of lack of dopamine Dopamine Nation - book Imagine Wavepool is like Dopamine in your brain. The more pleasurable the activity the bigger the wave, like cocaine and drugs, video games, cornography. If you have too many big waves, water would splash out of the pool, water level would go down, just like your dopamine in your brain! When you stop doing super stimulating activities, your motivation for life, your motivation to do activities will come back. What can we take from this ? If we consume corn daily, video games daily, Imagine you got locked in the room and you only have math textbook. You gonna study it and you got nothing else. Standing outside and enjoy the views. Replenish wavepools. Do harder activities that have small waves. Things that can replenish your wave pool: > Sunlight > Enough Sleep > Eat Food high in tyrosine ( like NUTS, DAIRY, MEATS, PARMESAN CHEESE OR ANY CHEESE)

1 pick a study time most productive and try it for few days in row. Deep work mrg and night afternoon is tired 2 plan before day exactly wt to do in that hr write 400 words or physics paper Reduce procrastination by increasing clarity So wake up do the work Reduce the friction Take task difficult Testing (effort ful) Learning is meant to be difficult effective U can think which is good past paper or read and highlight Testing is best way Write note book Time block 3 how long ?? 90 min to 120 min maximum Push limits if u get flow Start small 20 min slowly increase to 90min If u push hard u ruin ur day or week and demotivated So start slowly Schedule to calendar imp Follw it Minimize the small things in brain by writing it down give brain what is important 4 track your deep work Tally mark Focus on monthly result 5 work space very important Bat cave make it clean 6 remove all distraction during work( zero distraction) Its a life style make a impact key is deep work Sit down and focus made geniuses Skill will be worth Free from evthg and negative thts like another world

is it good to spend time socializing IRL before the exam? like in the hour while youre in the hall just chatting? or would it deplete your focus too?
@frakekera4159 күн бұрын
if i studied 50 hours before the exam day, i wouldn't really study until the last minute tbh. maybe only review some imporant notes for 10 minutes in the morning of the exam. studying until the last minute is for those who didn't study anything until the last few days because they knew if they don't study they will fail 100%

1 learning actually means how to not forget 2 learning should be difficult and effortfull u r changing ur nervous system 3 1 focus and sleep Focus Is bringing your attention back its effort full 1 1st you have to say its important to learn and remember hype yourself up So boring i wish this end now never will with that attitude so love the material and Hype yourself as a coach this is important lets go boys lets learn about ..... Take it seriously 2 5 to 10 min meditation only focus on breath randum thought come back to breathe. The best way 3 sleep deep sleep is very important learning happens at night avoid sleepless night do everything on time Non sleep deep rest lie down listen search yotbue nsdr Brain sleep not body Boost ur energy Habbits 1 3 to 4 hours a day so deep work 2 schedule the time when they study focus will run out So study when u r most alert and deep study 3 zero distraction they isolate themselves bat cave 4 consistent study spread work throughout week 4 4 4 4 4. 20 5 teach material like a professor good feeling also he also talk to himself Helps u to know wr u understand material and not memorized it 6 deep motivation to study Deep inner reason i have to do comes from inside good job future self love to know more Why iam doing this 7 study mat once and 3 test best result Testing destrys your confidence but its best way study 1hr test 2 hr Confidence part u handle it Active recall Going many times same material is familiarise so not mcq u should test ar bring answer from mind Do past paper Read a lot pause recall in mind key points know the gaps make sure understand it Study 1nce test many time Even if its wrong mind will learn it Tips Gap effect pause in between Every now and then stop and sit there give time for brain Brain learns in emotional Cocoroch scared emotion If super excited or curious or teacher is awesome u will learn that fast curious boring u r done

Summary : Bro usually wake up at 9-10am. After waking up, he will head towards study room and study for about an hour or 2. One morning he sat next to his friend studying. Realized that he lost his phone, when he was on his way to university. Went back to the study room at 9pm and luckily, the phone was in the same spot and SO IS HIS FRIEND. Dude was FREAKING there for 12 hours. Most students study a lot like his homie, but don't get good grades. Learning how to study is a skill in itself. Without that skill, it's like being a rower competing with a speedboat. Deep work - study so effectively, where your eyes don't even leave the screen. If you check your phone once, it took you 20 minutes to get to deep work. 2 types of distractions: Outer and Inner Outer: 1) Remove your phone out of your vision, put it away from study session, airplane mode 2) Sit somewhere, where nothing going in your peripheral vision 3) Sound. Inner: 1) When you sit down study, your Brain start to make chattering away. For example: Bro let's talk to Joe, let's do laundry. Make your brain shut up! How to fix this? Neurons that fire together, wire together - Andrew Hubermann. Train your brain to focus for long period of time by sit down and do the work. Accept that your brain will do the chattering. After 20 minutes it will shut up. Put aside period of 1-2 hours. In this time, there must be nothing going on, no sound, no phone, nothing in front of you. Very difficult at first, but eventually your brain will become your bitch. Imagine prisoners. They came out jacked, because they have nothing to do, except lifting weight.

One way to practice testing and teaching is to use ChatGPT (or any of the other Gen-AI models). Instruct it to test your understanding on a topic, chapter or to pretend to be a student who asks questions to learn.
