Warren Zevon was a gem, who was taken from the world too soon. Thank you for your contribution to the world Mr. Zevon.

Years, years, years, and years later.....but Letterman introduced me (and apparently even Eddie) and so many others about musical acts who never would have gotten that exposure without Dave. Hell, just Google the many Tom Waits, Elvis Costello, Steve Earle, etc acts on Letterman clips....especially the (oh yeah, George Clooney was here and handcuffed to Tom)....fair play to Clooney for rolling with it lol.

When my best friend died, I couldnt imagine how i'd live a day without her. Its now 23 years later and she DOES live in my heart and my actions. Im a kinder person because of her. Im a more spiritual person because of her. And she stll makes me laugh at least once a week. Your loved ones area part of you.

Beautifully said. Many wonderful souls have passed in and out of my life but never out of my heart. Sometimes we laugh, sometimes we cry but we never forget. Cherish every moment.

I love this song. Eddie did a great job. I always thought I would die first but my wife died of small cell lung cancer after a 5 year fight on December 4ht 2023. This song brings tears to my eyes, I miss her so much.

This song I played for someone I love. It is one of the songs I want played at my funeral. The lyrics just make your heart ache. The other Warren song is “My Ride is Here” sung by Springsteen.

I want this song played at my funeral which will probably be very soon. Life is overrated when you're depressed.

You are a unique and beautiful person with love to share. The world needs more love not less. I know battling depression can be an overwhelming and seemingly endless dark night. You are a survivor !! Think of how strong you are simply to have endured as much as you have so far. Sending cyber-hugs to you today and every day. And encouraging you to share your love with animals, friends, strangers or the world at large. Small acts change the world -- and your love can & will make a difference. 💗

It’s criminal that Warren wasn’t inducted into the RRHOF while he was with us. Eff Jann Wenner and that whole institution.

The whole story of this song, WarrenZ, his passing, DavidL’s part in it, sad, sweet tale, worthy of telling/hearing. EddieV does a marvelous cover, adding a chapter to the tale, and proof of MrZ’s mastery, even in Exit.

Eddie! That's about the best tribute Warren Zevon could ever get. I'm his big fan. It's such a great song and I never thought I'd hear it done well by anyone else. Brings tears to my eyes and reminds me dearly of my late husband. Thank you for that.

How is it that Vedder didn't know who Warren Zevon was but had to find out from who looks like a feral animal now- Daid Letterman... Cmon...- I went out with a waitress the way I always do, how was I to know she was with the Russians too ha....that's all I'm saying... except - I was gamblin' in Havana I took a little risk- send Lawyers, Guns & Money to get me outta this Ha!!! 💕 💜 😘, Carole Frances Catherine 💀♌
