I would love to see a video for DC Bachman switches using Bachman DC Controller and Bachman DC Switches. Bachman has the basic controller and also a separate unit for DC switches that can be used just for the switches. Being new I am a bit confused. I have the Durango Silverton set and the controller with that set does not work for switches. I also have a Bachman Track pack and I think I have to either purchase another basic controller that allows adding the switches or a separate unit for the switches. Not sure.

I believe the DCC plus will operate the Bachmann DCC switches, but with regard to the regular remote switches, the Bachmann basic power supply may or may not come with an auxiliary AC (accessory) power port in which case you’d need another power supply to provide electrical power. I have EZ track for my HO and Kato for N and quite honestly, I find the Kato track 1000x better in every regard. I initially had both Bachmann EZ track and Kato for n, but sold every stick of Bachmann after a few months to buy Kato. Thank You for watching and best wishes for continued railroad success

Yours is the first video that I've seen that is critical of this product, but the video reflects many of the same problems that I have had with my Pat's Easy Change system. I have the Category 2 version, installed a couple of years ago, on a John Deere 5065 tractor, and use it only with a 7-foot Deere MX7 rotary cutter. I carefully installed and leveled the hook assemblies according to the instructions, but they both tilted quite a bit when the rotary cutter was attached and lifted. The four adjustment bolts on each hook housing worked loose fairly quickly, and will still not maintain position. I have not damaged the spreader bar, but I have experienced the problems that you had with a broken u-bolt and with the "special" washers and the retaining pins popping off one side and then the other. It's never good to look back and see the cutter deck dragging the ground on one side, like a bird with a broken wing. My MX7 rotary cutter is pretty heavy, and our pastures are a little rough, so it may be that there is just too much stress on these components. Maybe the Pat's system is better suited to lighter duty, and may work much better on tractors and implements that are smaller and lighter in weight. I just know that, for me, it has not worked nearly as well as I had hoped.

I too had bought a CAT II version for a JD 5045D and had problems with that as well. I hated to be critical initially thinking maybe I just had a one-off sort of deal, but foolishly, I bought 3 sets of them and not one worked right. I think they’d be fine for an average joe homeowner who puts minimal hours on their machines and doesn’t really do any serious farming with them, but they just don’t hold up to heavy ag use. I have yet to read a comment from a full-time farmer who swears by this. I sheared off the u-clamps bush hogging one pasture and was always losing hardware no matter what-even locktite wouldn’t work. I don’t abuse my machinery and maintain it to the best of my abilities, but I really dislike PATS and opt for an iMatch instead. I’m sorry that yours didn’t hold up either and thank you for watching

I have this mower and have had nothing but problems with it. After about 1/3 acre of mowing all the bolts get loose and I have to find all the parts in my hay field. Have spent an additional $400 buying blade guards. It seems to vibrate excessively. Do you have any issues with bolts and blade bars breaking? I’m about to fix it for the last time and sell it.

You stole that tractor. I paid $3,500⁰⁰ for mine it doesn't have the one point, but came with the under belly cultivators , and side dressor. I always wanted to find a fast hitch with all the impliments. Mine needs new back tires as well. I live in GA. , and drove to KY to get mine. For whatever reason all the number series cultivision models close to me have been mistreated. Super A's are plentiful, and in decent shape , but any number series has live a RUFF life.

The reason they stopped making them was because of the Cast Iron case not being produced anymore. The actual hydrostatic pump is a Hydro Gear BDU10L-225 which is made in the USA. The reason it doesnt have hydraulics is because they dont have the pump ported for hydraulics. But the actual Pump inside the cast iron final drive is around 417 ftlbs of torque continuous to the ground. I think its disappointing for cub cadet to be ruined by stanley black n decker.

It's a pretty good way to get started right away in taking advantage of DCC model railroading. I use an E-Z Command unit on my 11x8 L-shaped HO-scale layout with amp booster, and it works very nicely with my decoder-equipped locomotives (a mix of Bachmann DCC on board and TCS decoders in my fleet). My E-Z Command unit I bought in 2014 came with a decoder-equipped BNSF GP40 locomotive, and it was great for upgrading my existing layout from analog to DCC.

Converting them into all-wheel pickup is an easy and convenient way of improving the running. You can easily find wrecked Mehano's locos (becouse Mehano made those GP18s) with the same truck types and use the original pickups, two pieces of wires to solder the contacts and enjoy the improvement. Take a look at my videos, all the GP18 in them are of that era and all of them have the conversion to 8-wheel pickup with original parts, all running very smoothly. 😉

@@LedgemereHeritageFarm No problem. The recent ones like Erie and Frisco versions are the latest with the upgrade. Mehano actually started installing the all-wheel pickup in these GP18s for their Bachmann batch, and later continued to do so on other two-axle trucks, probably having realized how much better they run. In the video with the Erie GP18, you will notice how effortlessly it runs through the switches, without stuttering.

Thank You. In my opinion, paint is always something that can be changed if a future owner didn’t like it, but it was kind of a nod toward the run of specialty ordered Canadian Cubs. They just plug right in to your terminal track. I have a booster on my layout, but you don’t really need it if your layout is relatively small.
