Whole i love the singer,but why should he change the original song words??? They were written by a local man,i was born and raised not far from knockanure!!those original words were written from the heart and telling a true story of what really happened!!!

the first time i heard this song i was in a very dark place in my mind, lonely second marriage was over was living in a cottage in the hills of wales winters night , i cried my eyes out when song finished and played it over and over again i dont know how many times but somehow it had given me strength to carry on, that was 1993 and here i am, the same month in 2024 strong bless you saw doctors xxx
