I imagine the tail of the shield drake would be an important spurce of lard, which can be used for cooking, oiling metal to stop rust(especially pertinent in a tropical wetland area), as food(lard was often used like we use butter, and throughout human history has commonly been used on bread) and illuimination, making tallow from the fat, or even possibly lamp oil.

Now I'm imagining spec evo within spec evo (spec-ception). One of my alt-scenario ideas for Kaimere was "what if the portal never harvested ever again even after the first dynasty ended?" I know the scenario is slightly unrelated to the video, but still.

Oh alternate Kaimere’s or alternate timelines in Kaimere are a lot of fun to consider! I don’t do it now since I would I’m sure become quite confused about the official canon, but that’s kind of what the realms beyond the known world let me explore. Someday I may do some of that sort of thing but again for now I know I’d just get lost lol

You should do a video on the giant dromies. Maybe call them basilisk’s if you don’t have a creature named the giant basilisq just to go with the serpent bird monster naming trend for the dromies or something. Just a thought tho

Amazing content, sloths are some of my favorite animals! Can I ask for where you got the portion about uv reflection in sloth fur? I've been trying to find the paper and I'm struggling to do so.
@TalesofKaimere
@TalesofKaimere 5 күн бұрын
Thank you! It’s based on nothing I made it up lol. Was inspired by several real animals having fur or feathers that either reflect or absorb UV light. It likely wouldn’t be that useful against diurnal predators since many raptors appear to have UV filters to protect their eyes. Against nocturnal predators it would still be very helpful. I may still keep the lore but it definitely requires more research.

I’m curious, what species and biome might we see in the next saga? I think it would be fun to explore the ocean. The Kurajaku would be interesting seeing their growth, however their range is somewhat limited. Perhaps a blackfish like the Orca would be a better fit. My second suggestion is perhaps the titan crow. With inspiration from WWD giants of the sky. You could have chapter 1 explore their growth, chapter 2 and 3 their biome and natural lifecycle. In chapter 4 and 5 you could perhaps deviate and have the Titan get lost in a storm and explore smaller biomes and perhaps revisit old characters like Ka’hai and see how they are doing. Keeping in tradition with “Giants of the Sky”, it would be fitting to have the Titan Crow dies at the end of the saga. Anyways love your work and I’m looking forward to your next project!
