@@14wbigt don’t get me wrong, I definitely agree with you that he wasn’t the right pick/ still hasn’t lived up to the first round grade. What my point is, is that he’s exceeded year 2 expectations fans had going into this year (genuinely thinking he wasn’t an NFL caliber player) so the positive is (like you said) the growth, so hopefully he has even more room to grow and the fact that he had solid production this year (more yards than Cooper Kupp, and I believe he leads his draft class in TD’s as well)!

In regard to Burrow, media says he needs help. Yet with Herbert, they say he is not elite. We see that Burrow is now in a similar situation that Herbert has been the last 4 years, no defense to close games and losing games by one possession. Acho and Joy getting their just desserts for hating on Herbert for no real particular reason, other than to get hits and traffic to their podcasts. Clout chasing only to get exposed as immoral human beings.

I don't understand why no grace is extended to Herbert specifically... like every other qb that is good is extended so much grace like Burrow for example. Yes he's been to the superbowl, but hasn't been successful since as far as post season success. If you watch the games you know he's elite period.

@@jeffchapman1632 Mahomes and Russell Wilson are the only 2. I don’t really see your logic in saying that Herbert isn’t a top five quarterback in the league because he hasn’t won a Super Bowl. Very few quarterbacks in the league have won a Super Bowls and many of them are past their prime and not as good as Herbert. besides Super Bowls are a team award.

@jeff... If you're 13 y.o., your initial & this post makes sense for its lack of understanding & juvenile meanness. Mahomes has had 1 Head Coach his entire career and even sat for a year learning from Reid before taking to the field. Look up how many HCs and OCs and their new playbooks the Chargers have had since 2020. Though you'd never be a 21 y.o. NFL QB, he was OROTY in 2020 before all of the coaching changes happened. Neither you nor I could survive it. Only the great ones.

@rham .. comparing Mahomes' start to Herbert's misses the fact that Mahomes has has 1 coach his entire career and sat his first year learning with Reid. Herbert has had 3 HEAD COACHES and 4 OFFENSIVE COORDINATORS since 2020, learning new playbooks each year.. That would make my play hesitant at best.

It's the first game in his career where he didn't disappear the moment he felt pressure. That's as much a fact as his stats making him look more successful than he has been. The real question here is if this is a one off or has Harbaugh fixed Herbert.

clearly you dont know anything about Herbert because he has been one of the top QBs when passing under pressure and has 11 4th qtr comebacks. last year it was reported that Herbert had the most winning drives and 4th quarter comebacks than any QB since 2020. idk where he ranks with this year stats, but that shows you he doesnt crumble under pressure a lot. he just had really bad coaches and defenses

@ earnst .. All while having his HC/OC fired his first year and 2HCs and 3 OCs followed that; all with their own pet playbooks & schemes.
