There are a million videos of people painting cars but very few showing the technical aspects of the EV drive. I wanted to see more of that. The car looks great tho.

I had a 1966 Volvo 4 door rear wheel drive, forget the model. There was a huge snowstorm that shut down the city but I worked for a hospital and had to go to work. On my way in, the only other vehicles on the road were humves from the National guard. It was surreal

I'm sorry but the P1800 isn't the most beautiful car Volvo made. It's a cute car but it doesn't hold a candle to the 240 Wagon. Boxy is beautiful.

I had made a small heavy duty wire with a tight bend and a sharp point that I could slide in and catch the loop of the clip. On my 1974 F-100 there was a spring behind it so you could push it in just enough to find the clip. I guess I’ll have to make another for my 1954 Customline. Or I’ll have to order the tool.

Ford A manual said 1-2 shift at 7mph. 2-3 15 mph. Assume standard differential gears. If running 3.27 aftermarket gears and Mitchel synchronized trans with 15% larger 2nd gear it’s 12 mph and 25 at normal drive.

I'm glad I will not live much longer now, and will not have to see the bleek future in store for us! The brakes done right will stop beautifully on these, you have to do a 60 - 40, the 60% goes on the front, the 40% goes on the rear, this makes all the wait go on the front wheels pulling to down helping in stopping, that's how I adjust mine as well as the other I work on, no complants, I use ton truck actuators on the front, this gives you more power on the front brakes because of the longer leivers, new brake rods must be used along with cast iron drums! My car stops on a dime! But I detest bidenmobiles of any type, I will drive one of these converted to ev you created over the horrendously ugly new models made today, though, and your engineering to put back origanal is great! But I am sadend to think it's over for these cars and myself! EV's will not be around that much longer themselves because this awful government will find a way to ban them as well. It takes fossil fuels to manufacture them, as well as the batteries that power them, and the chemicals used in these expensive batteries are not exceptable in most every land fill, as you can find gov act 65 on everything now, even a fucking can of beans! The engeneering is good because you left it to where it could be restored to origanal, the vintage cars you did show, were hot rods, and rat rods, not vintage, sadly yours was the most vintage even with the conversion! Not cool! We will one day not be able to drive a horse and buggy, because the horse farts leaving a " "carbon footprint" to completely remove the carbon they will have to destroy the entire universe, as it is 6th element on the table of elements! We ourselves are carbon bassed, all living things are carbon bassed, even the air you breathe is carbon bassed! We have gone too far down the rabbit hole now!

Heart broken to see you choose this truck. The idea is fine, but killing a 3rd gen hi-lux? That truck is probably one of THE BEST trucks ever made..... ANY truck besides that one would have been all good! And there is no way it is now "more reliable".

So, how much for you guys to convert my Baja, and can we make it compatible with "modern" charging infrastructure? Figure we can put the batteries where the tank is, under the passenger seat. It's basically just a without-back. If we do this, then I don't have to patch my exhaust!

Disappointed that you won't answer anyone's range questions. I am in the middle of this exact build in a 1977 FJ40, same motor and the same number of batteries and people I talk to in the space recon I will get less than 80km range on that setup. Was hoping for more like 150km but that does not seem likely.

GM had tons of experimental engines in development, way more than Ford actually they just didnt keep trying to enter them in Nascar. The 427 SOHC wasnt nearly reliable enough for use in circle track which is why it stayed in drag racing mostly. The Y block needed a supercharger to keep up with the sbc as it was underpowered and couldn't live at rpm reliably. Nascar didn't want to allow power adders understandably because it was too hard to keep things fair with boost involved. Ford kept trying to bend the rules and gain an advantage. They finally got it together in the 80's with their small block, it dominated.
