Thank you so very much ! I struggled so hard with this boss and i couldn't beat him until i saw this video. I didn't know you could absorb his heal to deplete his health bars. Great video.

Idk if it was good ARG but he was pretty easy for me. Able to do it on my first try, something I'm not usually able to do on most bosses

Have no tutorial for Alonne at the moment, remember him a tough guy, too. Will look into my save points if I can replay the fight. I think the key for Alonne was rolling backwards on his super fast attacks and use the small windows of opportunity.

His first phase has smaller hitboxes, so characters with high agility shouldn't go for velstadt's helmet, his attacks are easy to dodge in the first phase, so, free damage on him, YAY! The pain in the ass of this fight is the buffed sword shitbox, once he 1HK'd me with his thrust attack, WHILE I WAS ON HIS BACK, so yeah, i wouldn't recommend the helm.

This was a really good guide, thanks for reminding me to change my gear for good resists too - I totally forgot! I would also definitely recommend a player summon if one is available (not NPCs, they are awful in this fight from what I've heard), it makes it a lot easier to get hits in and heal. Thanks for the guide, it was well put together and worked great!

I Highly suggest a fast but strong weapon because this guy hits fast on his 1st phase.Using ring of blades will make you stronger if your weapon is pure physical.Also get a shit ton of defense. Use a shield like the Gyrm Greatshield because it denotes all fire damage.Don't summon the NPCs they're shit. Me and my friend tried to co-op this(I was the phantom) and I found it better to roll than use a shield because He will drain your stamina fast.

Before I developed this strategy, I also tried the Gyrm Greatshield strategy because it is mentioned here and there. But I found always that the Gyrm Greatshield consumes way too much stamina and it did not work out as good as this strategy here.

Don't use the helm it makes him buff cause he hated the guy that used to wear it

I use the helmet on purpose, so I have to learn only one of his styles (and you have to fight his buffed style anyway). Please see my description for more details.

I wanted to use this strategy but haven't beaten Veldstat yet.

In this case I would recommend beating Velstadt first, since he is much easier than Raime, at least in my opinion. Otherwise you need to learn both phases/styles of Raime, which makes him even harder.
