Any time frame when your plastic bed floor will be available. I’d be interested in one asap.

Does the fabric on the tent portion have a clear see through panel or just fabric and mesh? it would be nice in incliment weather to be able to see out without having to open up fabric panel and have cold weather blowing in. Also is there any side panel/rear panel awnings on the tent to block inclement weather? Will the water system have a spout not requiring a electricity/water pump or will it require a water pump to get water? Will this have vent/ports for a diesel/gas/propane heater?

Best Mod would be to get rid of this pile of shit before the engine blows up.

Nice looking setup! I think after years of using the RTT I would probably look at something like this for the next Tacoma.
@BrandonBaecker20 сағат бұрын
Looks great. I hope you make it modular so you can get just a left or right side and pick what setup you want on either side. Also I'm assuming by the way it's made, that besides the base plate, it'll work with any midsize truck with a camper?

Cool! The “bed system” at first I thought you were referring to the box as your sleeping bed. 🤷🏼 Great box design. Thanks for sharing👍🏻

I’m building my own house right now, but I’ll be on the road a good bit…I’m going to build out a rig similar to this so that I won’t be spending a fortune on hotel rooms and fast food. It will pay for itself in less than 2 years, according to my calculations. Big fan of these setups!

And here i am in my 3rd gen with tiny 265/70/16s struggling to get 17mpg on the interstate lol . Question , ( and this has probably been fixed ) do you worry about the ADD system in the front diff ? Even with a re-gear , thats ALOT of stress in the diff with 37s

dang, I love this a lot!! Currently full time living, driving around the world with up with a Bowen Camper Bed and FWC Fleet, I love all the upper and lower windows you were able to add!!! One of the biggest bummers of FWC, not being able to relax inside the home and enjoy the view. Couple of questions, 1. Are the windows able the be tinted with the tint that is black on the outside but allows you to look out normal. 2. Can you open the windows from the inside.

Hey finally got around to installing my mid-height. I remember you saying the rotopax weren’t actually functional because the iKamper hits them when you open things up. Presumably at least the traction boards clear on the hinge side? If you swapped the traction boards for the rotopax does everything clear then? I think the answer is no. Hopefully worst case I can have the traction boards where you have them now and I guess get the tiny ass 1 gallon rotopax which 100% will clear.

Just FYI, the gauge which was on the left screen with the oil can showing L and H (the one above where your engine coolant temp gauge is always at) is actually your oil pressure gauge. It will fluctuate between 40-80% regularly if you pay attention to it while you’re driving. I thought it was my oil temp gauge for a while too, and it was freaking me out a bit lol. Looked it up in the owner’s manual and felt kinda dumb 🤦

Hate to break it to ya but the weight savings that close to the hub ain’t doing much outside of unsprung weight. The bulk of the polar moment of inertia is coming from that tire which puts most of the weight far from the center axis of rotation. Every little bit counts but…meh.

Great video guys! Sadly my truck still gets really hot but it’s mainly on passes or going up hill for a while off-road or if you have head winds on the freeway. TFL’s transmission overheated in one of their videos when they were towing a trailer up hill and donut media made a video driving the trd pro Tacoma and they pointed out high trans temps.

Can you weight the stock wheel/tire setup vs whats on it now? Im thinking that might be a part of the issue. Hoping to see what happens once a few good tunes come out for these.

Did you also account for the actual distance travel is more than the trip on the dash? Just like the mph, actual is higher due to tire size. If you need to recalculate for actual distance, there should be a bump up in mpg.
