Nothing new, the kids CROC must have gotten to big for his aquarium so, mom and dad must have taken his pet to the everglades and let him go. What good environmental parents not harming wildlife . Year ago, I know a family took the pet iguana to the everglades and released it, said got to big for the tank and didn't want to harm it. How nice. Like lionfish got to big for the tank, it was eating everything, what do the stupid people think it will do in the ocean. I've killed a lot of them, but I think it's to late.

@jeromedamian5740 That's why I looked it up, I was a bit skeptical: "Crocodiles and alligators are two different species. As such, they are unable to mate together to produce offspring. One of the reasons is that the DNA counts of each animal are different." Now I'm sure with the numbers that were released, there was enough to breed among their own!

What's the point of taking Nile crocs to Everglades in the first place? This sounds unscientific and only upsets the ecological balance of the sanctuary. Can you bring Indian tigers to Africa to compete with leopards?

It was an exotic animal wear house that got destroyed and they had several nile crocodiles at various stages of maturity. Then theres the private collectors whos animals got out over the years from hurricanes because transportation of a crocodile for evacuation isn’t exactly feasible unless you’re a zoo. So yes there are nile crocodiles in the everglades one was actually seen by a fish and game officer from her own apartment window when she reported it

Yes, well sort of, he's just talking about the western side of Florida's main body, the panhandle is the part that goes up and attaches to Alabama. But yes you're on the right track, western side of Florida the one that goes into the golf not the Atlantic.
