Broke the lattice hammering it in. Use a longer board to place against the lattice to prevent that. The weight on those 2x4’s may cause them to bow. I’d use 4x4’s for the posts.

First of all, THANK YOU!!! <3 This video is excellent! We now have a beautiful arbor at the entrance to our backyard! I hope you don't mind, but I thought I would share my list since there are a lot of people who don't seem to want to do the Metric to Imperial conversions (Google has a free calculator). We purchased (5) 8ft 2x4 - four cut to 85 1/2 and one cut in to (4) 24 inch pieces (Frame) (See note below for alternative cut. Also, please note, we made ours 7 ft tall because I'm 6'9") (1) 10 ft 2x6 cut in half for the (2) 5 ft headers (3) 8 ft 2x2 - We made (2) 36 in rafters out of each one. **We could not find treated 2x3, which is what the original plans called for, so we used 2x2** Due to the spike in lumber prices, we decided to go with (2) sheets of 2 ft x 8 ft pvc lattice (Cut down to 6ft). We also purchased (4) 8ft lattice frame pieces (Cut into (4) 6 ft pieces and (2) 2 ft pieces to make the job easier. If you do this, you'll need to buy 1 additional 2x4 and adjust the horizontal frame width by about 3/4 in to account for the rails (You'll only get 3 cuts out of 8ft 2x4 as you'll need (4) 24 3/4 pieces. Finally we bought (4) metal chicken/garden fence posts and used them to anchor the arbor. Again, thank you for posting this awesome video!! We built the arbor just in time for Spring!
