Girls your advice to speak up when building is spot on… I asked for things many a time when we were building some I got some I couldn’t have but I’m glad I spoke up… I think sometimes people forget it is their house and they are the ones that are going to live in it and are also paying the bills XX

Great video. Quick question, in QLD After completing any required studies are you not required to be employed by a registered builder for a minimum of 2 years? As she didn't mention this step at all?

I’d love to know the answer to this question as well

@@mackayholidayhouses In NSW you definitely need 2 years experience working with a fully licensed builder in order to qualify for a builders licence of your own. Most builders won’t take you on either unless you’re a licensed/qualified carpenter or bricklayer. Better off becoming a qualified tradesman first, learn how to actually build and then do your Cert IV in building rather than doing the Cert IV & Diploma in building and then expecting a builder to hire you as a supervisor/foreman when you have no real building experience. Get on the tools first.

Hey Rachael, awesome video but it was difficult to hear the process. I’m a young girl in my early twenties and I’d love to hear how you got your builders license whilst running your music business. Did you have to do the 2-4 year labour under a builder to qualify??

I love you both so much. Very inspiring! I wish you guys would do a second interview though the volume/speaker quality is pretty bad😢 goes in and out and background noise. Second interview please :)

Great Video! Forgive me for the intrusion, I am interested in your opinion. Have you thought about - Peyaniel Breathtaking Primacy (search on google)? It is an awesome one of a kind guide for starting your own successful handyman business minus the headache. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my work colleague after many years got amazing results with it.

How did you get the four years experience to qualify for the building license?

Just found your channel. Love your epic video. Lol... You think like me....there's always another way, why not, why, why. Love it. I find it challenging to get hubby to see my vision, I think men naturally like to take the 'No' stance, it's very challenging.

To get a builders licence from QBCC you need to show you have experience in Preparing contracts, Managing earthworks , Supervising footings, Supervising and understanding rough in of services, Applying domestic construction principles, etc etc and you CAN NOT provide examples for work that was not properly licensed by anyone to do it... So I want to know how she got around this???? ... And you can't use examples where you were an owner builder... so please explain?!?!!???

It is encouraging to hear about your perseverance. Perseverance is not a common trait these days. Also it imparts “power” / understanding when women get to hear how other women tackle their obstacles. ❤️👍🏻

it's funny, when I talk about our business, my wife and I i always talk about OUR business and that is most of the contractors I know as well, so I always include my wife even though she is a nurse and does our paper work mostly and is only ever on site at the end of each build to see the finished result, but both you women want it to be exclusively yours singularly, . why do you think that is?
@kimiorahartley25644 жыл бұрын
Lol I think your just an exception mate. Good on you for being a champion, but many of my husband’s friends do the same thing. “My house, my business...” obviously they don’t mean to purposely exclude their partners.... but are just not aware as you.
