This is a great interview guys. I'm just seeing this now two years later but very interesting stuff. A couple observations from your points on the Hall. We TRY to induct a media member every couple years. Some of the media people you missed are Ralph Hubbell, Don Criqui, Chuck Healy and Stan Barron. We are inducting two this year, Paul Wieland who was the PR Director for the Sabres for over 25 years and Vic Carucci. The names you brought up like Dick Johnston, Erik Brady, Charlie Barton and others like Pete Weber are all on our radar for future induction. But again, it's very hard when we only induct 12 people a year (8 living, 4 deceased) to get a media person in. As a general rule we LIKE to have inductees who are done with their careers. We have inducted people still active but those are usually coaches who are older and wrapping up their resumes. We did induct a couple athletes/young coaches still active like Jenn Suhr and Tara Vanderveer but they didn't show to their induction because their schedules were way too tight to attend which is highly disappointing so we try not to do that. We tried to get into the Seneca One Tower but Doug Jemal ended up blowing us off. So, I just opened our physical location at Dave and Adams Sports Card World in Williamsville. It turned out amazing, I highly recommend you go see it. Thanks for covering our event and our history. I'm always available to talk about our unique organization. John Boutet

The problem with the sabres and their fans is that they blame their best players for the teams failures rather than putting the blame where it belongs - on all of the bad players on the team. Eichel was not a locker room poison, he was the best player on the team who wanted to get healthy the way he wanted to - he got healthy and led vegas to a cup. Reinhart was their second best player, and the sabres let him walk and he scores 50 for the panthers and helps them win a cup. The same thing happened with OReilly, he was supposedly a locker room cancer and he went to the blues and was MVP on their cup win. This is why the sabres are setting the record for consecutive seasons of missing the playoffs in a league where half the teams make the playoffs. The sabres organization is a clownshow, led by an owner who refuses to spend any money to improve the team, because he has a stupidly loyal fanbase who will give him money for a shit product.

Excellent episode fellas. My two favorite moments: - When Tim pointed out that while the Buffalo Sabres seem to regularly have one of the top crops of prospects within their organization on an annual basis... yet the franchise hasn't been able to put a team on the ice that can even qualify for postseason play for the past 13 years. Thank you Tim! - When Jonah said he doesn't really care about all of these nonsensical and ridiculous offseason NFL "storylines." Thank you Jonah!

Mentions of Kulikov and Pysk. Impressive. Here's an archived article from 6/26/216 courtesy of The Associated Press that mentions those two NHL players; ================== BUFFALO (CBSMiami/AP) - The Florida Panthers traded their longest tenured player at this weekend's NHL Draft. Sabres general manager Tim Murray filled his team's wish list by acquiring veteran defenseman Dmitri Kulikov in a deal with the Panthers. The trade was announced shortly after the second round of the NHL draft opened Saturday. Besides swapping second-round picks, with Buffalo moving up to No. 33 from No. 38, the Panthers acquired defenseman Mark Pysyk and the Sabres' third-round pick, 89th overall. Entering his eighth NHL season, Kulikov adds experienced depth to Buffalo's young group of defensemen. And he has a left-handed shot, something Murray said was among his key offseason needs. The Panthers' first-round pick in the 2009 draft, the 6-foot-1, 204-pound Kulikov has one year left on his contract and is set to make $4.5 million next season. He had one goal and 17 points in 73 games last year. Overall, Kulikov has 28 goals and 138 points in 460 career games. He became expendable in Florida after the Panthers signed veteran free agent Keith Yandle to a six-year contract last week. Pysyk, the Sabres' 2010 first-round pick, had difficulty establishing a regular role in Buffalo. He has split each of the past four seasons between Buffalo and its American Hockey League affiliate in Rochester.

Tom Glavine (Baseball/Hockey), Dick Groat (Baseball/Basketball), Sammy Baugh (Football/Baseball), Marquise Goodman, Renaldo Nehemiah, Bob Hayes (Track/Football), Jay Novacek (Football/Decathlete), and the ultimate athlete Jim Thorpe- won multiple Olympic gold medals, had them taken away for previously having played minor league baseball, then played, coached, and was Commissioner of the NFL in the 1920s. I think guys like that are trending toward extinction. In our day (the 1980s), EVERYBODY played something in the fall, winter, and spring. Nowadays, the kids seem to more decide on the sport on which they’re going to concentrate , play that season, then; instead of playing another sport; work out with their sport-specific skills & physical trainers.

This is why you don't want this woke crap happening in NFL. How does a woman get to be a coach of a man's sport. Also don't want biological males playing as women in women's sports. Ridiculous. Women play head games and when it doesn't work out to their liking they cry foul and eveyone has to frreze and act surprised and disgusted at the men. How do we know she isn't at fault and just money hunting? Dumb idea. What do women know of playing tackle football with men? Nothing, thankfully. Or there would be fatalities, imo. Just moronic. Get the woke OUT of sports, period.

Obviously you can’t put a percentage on how much of the fan base is bad. But it’s a large amount. I once joined a Bills facebook group and left after a week because of how negative it was. I would pick Josh over any receiver but he plays horrible at times no doubt. But to pick out that drop by Diggs when Allen missed him 4-5 times on deep throws through out the season when Diggs was open is not fair.
