Katy is such a capricious person. One day she requests and supplicates for her demands, the other day her wanton attack with 100 protestors outside the university creates a frenzy. Her nature and behaviour are genuinly abstruse for a most people. This is such a stark contrast to her dad's stolid personality. The guy was a rock in previous life.

Is the Official Guide to the GRE Book still accurate with the new GRE Test?
@manhattanprepgre73906 күн бұрын
Hi, Tyler. Great question! They are just about to publish a new GRE Official Guide and it's currently scheduled to be released on January 31, 2025. So we recommend waiting just a bit to buy that version so that you'll have the most up-to-date available. (You may be able to pre-order one now on Amazon, in the US at least.)

Sir For the question no. 4 as it is a average I calculated it to be around 55 miles per hour as a normal average of both velocities, and your answer on the other hand shows 54.5 miles per hour. Furthermore, as the question says ROUNDED TO THE NEAREST TENTH will 55 miles per hour would it also be considered as correct or not?
@manhattanprepgre739010 күн бұрын
Hi, Harshakda! Great question! You are correct that 55 is the average of 50 and 60. However, that is not what the question is asking! What you found is the "average of the rates", and that's not the same as "average speed." To calculate the average speed of a trip, you must take the time travelled into account. Specifically, you should use the formula: average speed = total distance / total time . And be careful next time you encounter a GRE average speed question: the simple average of the rates is often available as a trap answer. And regarding rounding, 55 would only be a correct answer if the calculated amount were ≥ 54.95 and < 55.05, as the nearest rounded tenth in this range is 55.0. In the solution shown, the math comes out to 600/11 ≈ 54.5454, which rounds to the nearest tenth of 54.5.

I am not crazy! I know he swapped those numbers! I knew it was 1216. One after Magna Carta. As if I could ever make such a mistake. Never. Never! I just - I just couldn't prove it. He - he covered his tracks, he got that idiot at the copy shop to lie for him. You think this is something? You think this is bad? This? This chicanery? He's done worse. That billboard! Are you telling me that a man just happens to fall like that? No! He orchestrated it! Jimmy! He defecated through a sunroof! And I saved him! And I shouldn't have. I took him into my own firm! What was I thinking? He'll never change. He'll never change! Ever since he was 9, always the same! Couldn't keep his hands out of the cash drawer! But not our Jimmy! Couldn't be precious Jimmy! Stealing them blind! And he gets to be a lawyer!? What a sick joke! I should've stopped him when I had the chance! And you - you have to stop him!

Hello! Question, what if the topic they choose is something you have never heard?
@manhattanprepgre739028 күн бұрын
Hi! That's a great question! It sounds like you're referring to potential essay topics you might encounter on the GRE. The good news is that ETS has made all possible essay topics publicly available-please Google 'Analyze an Issue topic pool' to see the full list in PDF form. The essay prompt on your official GRE will be one of the prompts from this document. The PDF contains ~150 different prompts, so you can't realistically practice every single one-still, it's a good idea to skim through to get a general sense of the topics you may see, and practice writing real essays for a few.

how did they think of 4x to multiply both sides by for the last problem i wonder? 2x i can see, maybe its intuitive after that?
@manhattanprepgre7390Ай бұрын
Good question! If we multiply both sides by 2x, yes that will eliminate x from the denominator in quantity A, but quantity B will still have the last term as 18/2x. Since it's helpful to get ALL variables out of the denominator, we start by multiplying by 4x, which eliminates it completely from both sides.
