Question, were there enough gas stations and hotels for the trip? First time driver out west and am finding comfort watching your video, thank you. BTW I typically drive solo from michigan to Savannah a few times a year so driving doesnt scare me. Just unfamiliar. Thank you!!

L.A does have the most land area than any other city in the US. (New York has less land because it is divided into 5 separate boroughs)

With the side trips to Twin Falls, Arches National Park, and Mesa Verde National Park, it took us 4 days to get to our destination in Texas. We spent our time enjoying the stops along the way. Driving back to Washington from Texas took us 3 days.

Reminds me of the time I drove a bus from Sacramento to Los Angeles, it was my regular run. As we were leaving one morning I guy got on and said he need to go to Hollywood. I told him you're on the right bus we're going to Los Angeles, and took off, he started screaming NO I'm going to Hollywood, before I could explain to him, that Hollywood was just an area in Los Angeles. He jumped off the bus when I was doing 10 miles an hour, rolled around on the concrete. I stopped to see if he was all right and he just gave me the finger. I didn't think any more about it, until the next day. I was on my regular run from Sacramento to LA again, when I see this guy with a bandage head hitchhiking, holding up a sign that says Hollywood or bust. I'll say this he must have busted his head when he fell. And I always wondered if he got a ride with anybody did they tell him they are going to Los Angeles. If so he might have jumped out. This happened in April 1976 but I remember it like yesterday

Hey wanderers! I don't know how to get hold of you, or if you'll ever see this, but I miss you guys! You went to the Philippines, and shot a beautiful vid, and i'm curious if you're going to retire there, or already have? There's a huge community that would appreciate your vids on the subject, if you desire to make them. Personally, I'm planning to go there for good in Sept. Just ideas if you want to continue with KZbin. I'm also in Wa.and love your local stuff. Again, miss your sweet channel. Bye.

Hi! Thanks for appreciating our small channel. We will definitely continue this as time allows. Retiring in the Philippines has always been a consideration, and if we do, we may even continue with the occasional vlog. Sometimes, though, it seems that everyone is a vlogger in the Philippines, so I don’t know if I can create unique videos if we live there. We’ll see. Thanks again for your comment. All the best in your retirement plans.

@Wandering JnD Chicago and several suburbs were impacted with power outages. Falling tree limbs om power lines are a factor, too. We had high winds and sleet. Our power lines are now under ground.
