It's amazing how many similarities we have to each other. I also use a Multisac crossbody as a planner pouch! Additionally I use a Vera Bradly and Kipling Keefe. All bought second hand of course. 🤓 Yesterday at the Goodwill I found a super cute Chala clutch with the new tags still on it for a fabulous price! I've been hunting for one for awhile. Can't wait to set it up as a planner/ journaling pouch. I love collecting various configurations of small purse bags at the thrift stores. I get such a thrill when I find a perfect gem!

Happy belated birthday! You handled your MIL's with integrity- way to go! I love how y'all have made reading a priority every day! What a fun way to do something together and share highlights with each other! I use the library for books since I usually don't keep them once I'm done. I listen to a lot of audiobooks since I'm constantly on the go. I used to be more of a real book in hand reader, but during the pandemic I leaned in to e-books on ipad. I have been wanting to get back in to reading physical books. Finding the time to read is challenging (for me to sit still)- I can def read for 15 min. I automatically think of artists and crafters when it comes to creativity. You're right creativity can also be problem solving and trouble shooting in our daily lives! I would enjoy your book reviews and recommendations. Do you use any websites/apps to track your reading or have a to be read list? (like Goodreads or the Story Graph)I've used Goodreads for years but wonder if there is a better updated option.

That's a smart idea to be able to move goals around as needed- cause life happens and constantly having us pivot! I like how your magnets coordinate with post-its! @keylolodale I used to just take things to my local office supply store and paid to have them laminate for me. But frankly, that got pretty expensive. So I watched for and took advantage of an Amazon Prime Day deal on a small home laminator. To be honest, the laminator itself was pretty darn cheap (at under $15). It's the laminating pouches that can get pretty pricey. So watch for deals on those, too!

YES! Initially I was fascinated with the Freewrites, but when I clicked on the price, back when they were first announced, I thought to myself you dont get much more than an Alphasmart for 10+ times the cost!!! Always steer my friends to that option. Have been debating on designing my own word processor that combines the nice to haves premium options feature, while retaining budget minded parts. My idea is to 3d print a shell and use commonly accessible and buildable electronic parts for it. I was even thinking of instead, modding and shelling an alphasmart to have a more modern design and larger screen!!!

You are shining! I love your thought process for pivoting to focus on stress mitigation! For sure we have to celebrate all the small wins! Sometimes, they can seem so insignificant or can be overlooked, but they really matter and great practice to see positives in struggles. The way you share your thoughts and your encouragement radiate your heart and desire to help others! What are some hobbies you are enjoying or discovering to help with stress (you tube channels you like, books you read or listen to, podcasts, etc). @keylolodale Oh, I've struggled greatly over the years, trying to find a hobby to get lost in - all in the effort to help lower my stress level. But to no avail. Everything I wanted to do (and tried) only seemed to aggravate the psoriatic arthritis in my hands and wrists. Sewing, drawing, crocheting. Out, out, and OUCH! 😆 🤣 😂 Ultimately, I tried to take the pressure off by simply replacing "find a hobby" with "just find a way to play every day." This helped a LOT. My "play" looked different all the time. And that was okay. It's STILL okay. Sometimes, I just read a book somewhere new in my house. Some days, I give myself a budget of $5 and go thrifting to find a new little pretty for my desk/ closet. Other times (like right now as I type this! 😉), I take a hot bubble bath in the dark with fake candles flickering all around me. Whoa! What a stressful week you had. I'm sorry about kidney stones and needing to pause iced tea and spinach. Your cup is nice- what a great thrift find! I struggle with the term "self-care" not sure why and guilt around taking time for myself. You nailed it- needing self-preservation! Catching ourselves before we are fully tapped out is such a struggle, isn't it? I believe more so for caregivers. I hope you were able to add things in your calendar that helped focus on you! Thank you for sharing.

Actually allowing myself to pivot and make a change in plans has *really* helped take some stress away and bring joy back!!! Thankfully, drinking more water, less tea, and eating NO spinach has helped. No kidney stone attacks for about two weeks now. I'm so grateful!!!
