I ride an rtr 200(covered almost 1 lak plus kms on it) and am now looking to upgrade to a better comfortable and reliable bike...i was confused between scrambler 400x and cb300r earlier...but now due to a budget constraint am looking at cb300f ,cb350 and highness...highness and cb350 seem to be on par with rtr in terms of specs on paper...so bit confused too..

The extra crash guards are totally unnecessary. I've fallen more than 8-10 times in the last 4 years...no damage to the tank... only broken clutch lever or brake lever.

One Bajadesigns squadron pro in combo beam with one Diodedynamics SS3 pro in driving beam with 4500k is a really good light setup up to 120kmph. Anything higher up say like 140-150kmph, add one Diodedynamics SS3Max pod in spot or driving beam to the above setup and one shouldn’t require more light than this on a bike.

Well, highway wise, I would say this motorcycle definitely lacks wind protection. I've tried piug, 790-like styled with cutout windows, and I will not recommend them. There is a Givi one with sliding top, but it looks bulky. Buffeting is very bad at speeds more than 110 kmh. I always wear ear plugs. besides this, I think bike does all good. Only thing is oil change interval slightly shorter, but you just can go change the oil using oil pump on the street via oil hole with no disassembly of skid plate and keeping old filter, they do good enough much longer that oil ))
