Im not underrting this cuz people kill themselves on accident but your probably not from az and fat is why.The grand canyon isn't impossible .I was out of shape to what i consider out pf shape for it and it sucked on the way back cuz of being the switchbacks and I was jogging at one point and not in shape to use my muscles and I didn't consciously choose to carb load before to store glycogenin muscles and liver. You use alot of muscle so it's not just breathing. You should be in shape probably like 12 mile jog shape wouldn't feel terrible but have legs strong from work outs like stair master too cuz your legs have to be strong enough to come back up the switchbacks Bring water and light food and probably expect to be back at night depending on what time you leave if its a day hike. Its not like its the worst thing its just like walking the staircases for a really long time coming back. If your not from Arizona don't be foolish and do it in summer because its some famous landmark or whatever . You see people underrated other places when it's a foreign temperature and it's cuz there not accustomed to it.

most of the deaths you listed on mount washington are due to small plane crashes....cog railway crashes and medical episodes...not deaths due to weather and terrain.

Devil's Path is incredibly strenuous but not dangerous. Barely any climbing and no exposure.

Most of the people who have died on Mount Washington were experienced hikers and climbers who chose to climb in dangerous conditions. Sometimes, no amount of preparedness and experience can save you. When in doubt, turn back, it's not worth your life.

I recorded a -5 with the windchill and 70 mph gusts in the first week of november about 25 days ago on mt washington....

What the actual heck, this is incredibly inaccurate. First off, how the heck is Kentucky better than Tennessee, and why the heck is North Carolina ranked so freaking low? It should definitely be in the top 10 at LEAST. (Note that after I saw NC’s ranking I got so exasperated I didn’t watch anymore, so if there is anything else that is just as dreadfully inaccurate as North Carolina being in the bottom 20, I didn’t see it.) horrible list, actually KNOW WHAT UR TALKING ABOUT next time.
