Keep at sometimes it’ll take all winter before you hook your first fish. Get A spinning reel bait casters are no good for that bobber rig. Set up spinning reel with braided line to mono. O and fish the river when the flows are on the drop, good luck stick with it also 12 pound line minimum. Also 2/5 oz little cleo spoons in gold crush in all river conditions.

@@Euronymphflyfishing I appreciate all the advice. Yeah I realized the bait caster didn’t seem to let the bobber float naturally it seemed to pull on the line a lot. I’ll also have to pick up a gold spoon and give it a try thank you!

Smaller hook helps. Bigger hook weighs ur bead down. Throw a few split shots a foot above ur soft bead

Good try. High water fish close to the bank. Also fish the slow water next to fast water seams. Seams normally are good.

when you aren't marking fish on the graph, they are either flat on the bottom or on the surface. try trolling with a shallow running lure. See it a lot on lake Sammamish particularly this time of year if and when the chironomids are hatching. Perch are a blast to catch too so that was a good pivot.

Need to get you set up with a decent corn for trolling... not many use worms. Kills the action of your lure sometimes.

I was out on the 6th of Dec. I also found them on the bottom. We only fished a couple of hours finding that only one side of the boat was catching. We did get a variety in 60 feet of water; Rock Bass, Perch, Sculpin, and a Sunfish. Glad you were able to get some fish...I have been watching you hunt. :)

Saw 30 deer on the last day in the western unit I hunted for the late buck season- not a buck to be seen.
