Some farmers are starting to run their semi trucks alongside the combine and dump into the truck while still cutting on the go. It means less fines in the grain without the extra augering with a cart as well as other advantages. Dumping into trucks while still harvesting is done for some other crops.
@sprayguy95 күн бұрын
A few will do that here as well, although soil compaction is a real issue in our heavy clay soils. A truck will leave deeper tracks in the field than a dual tractor and/or grain cart. After the rain we just had in some areas, a truck would be luck to get into a field - never mind getting out once it's full.

No bad they went with there idea of retro colours! I know lots of Farmers that hate the looks of them now and I am not a fan either! The first 50 to celebrate 50 years, awesome! But then go back to the red and cream colours. That sure is one of the reasons that you don’t see any in the fields around here! There used to be lots of Versatile 4 WD and 2 WD FWA tractors around, not anymore! I know of one farmer who has one. Very sad! Maybe the new owners of Versatile will change things around? Can only hope!!🤞🤞

Why would you swath the wheat first, then pick it up with a combine? Why not just combine everything at once like normal? Oh well, just seems like an extra step and more work.
