That radio is really good you actually if you can't put a base antenna up at your house you can put that on up on your metal roof of your house outside your window it works fantastic you can get adapter for that radio and put a Wilson antenna I used to have one of Wilson 5000 side mountain antenna and I actually stuck it on a metal pole I actually talked on channel 6 on it it was hilarious the guy didn't even know I was talking on a handheld walkie-talkie fantastic video

Sorry, non native speaker here. Just apply down dawn soap, and then?
@rockyfrance3 ай бұрын
Let it set. The dawn dish soap creates a bond breaker and doesn't allow the concrete to stick

@@rockyfrance what if the cement splatter has been there for some days? Do I apply a mixture of soap and water or just soap?
@rockyfrance3 ай бұрын
@@elioangarita you have to apply the dawn to the house before you pour concrete. The dawn film doest allow the concrete splatter. to stick to the house.

These radios had it all but also had issues.I knew several people that had them as well with problems. Worked OK for a while in my 18 wheeler but developed problems. My radio would not stay powered up unless I pressed down on the top of the case. Everything was tight inside as well as a good power supply and ground. I sent it out a couple times to get fixed and nobody could figure it out.

Hi why dose the voice come out the radio when talking into the mic or is this to do with the dynamike.

You are hearing it come across the test bench radio
@cbandhamradiostations48454 ай бұрын
@@rockyfrance Ah cool so just turn down the dynamike a bit then
@rockyfrance4 ай бұрын
Not really. The dynamic is just a mic gain and doesn't have anything to do with hearing yourself talk. In this video I had a cobra 2000 set up on an antenna right next to this radio. You are hearing my voice transmitted through the cobra 2000 setting on my desk

The split is used for 10 meter repeaters. The major flaw in this radio was no backup power for the memory channels. There is a solution for that, but it sucks. I purchased mine in 1986 and it still works well. In time those frequency switches will start to go bad. There are owners manuals out there on line. Good luck
