So let me get this straight? The verses before and the verses after are talking completely within the context of the wives but Allah decides to slip in a part of the verse that cuts the wives out of Ahlul Bayt (AS), giving the term a new meaning since all Arab speakers know that the wives are apart of your ahlul bayt. In other verses where Ahlul Bayt of different messengers were talked about the context included the wives. And to clarify this there is some sunni tradition that says the prophet (SAWS) stood outside Fatima's house for 9 months quoting that section of the verse indicating who ahlul bayt really is? How can one buy this? I think Shiah who truly think about this issue will consider the goal in eliminating the wives from Ahlul Bayt (AS), again a term which in Arabic is the wives and kids, and in the context of the quran is talking within context within context of the wives. Shia cannot have the wives as part of Ahlul Bayt because of the fight between Ali (RA) and sitna Ayesha (RA). It unravels the entire school of thought to think of one "pure" person fighting with another "pure" person so therefore they have to put together conspiracy after conspiracy together to trying to keep their school together. The same goes with Abu Bakr (RA), Omar (RA), and Othman (RA). They have to be proven to be untrustworthy in order to maintain the shiah school because how could Ali (RA) go to those 3 men and remind them that he is supposed to be the khalifah and then they resist Ali (RA)? If it was spelled out as clear as day according to the shiah that Ali (RA) was supposed to be the khalifah then how could 3 great men ignore them. Hence the need for conspiracies against them.

Isn't Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم "Al-Uswah al-Hasanah" (the best example) for us to emulate? Did he ever call upon Adam, Noah, Ibraheem, Musa, or Eesa for help? Our Prophet used to hold Ibraheem ﷺ in great regard, he even named his son after him, and when a person addressed the Prophet saying, O best of mankind! he replied: that was Ibraheem! [Sahih Muslim]. Why did he never call upon Ibraheem for help, even if only once, to teach his Ummah that it is permissible? Then, why don't you follow in his steps and call upon Allah only? As Allah said: قل إنما أدعو ربي ولا أشرك به أحدا Say (O messenger), I only call upon my Rabb, and I don't associate anyone with him!
