The servers are pretty active, only the Portal servers can sometimes be empty/full of bots. Right now for $6, I don't think you'll regret it if you have a wish to play.

I think that Battlefield 4 is a bit old now and lacks in some mechanics compared to newer Battlefields, that's why I personally don't play it as much anymore. It can still be fun tho, if you can find a good server. In my opinion, the best Battlefields to buy right now are Battlefield V and 1. But if you don't like that old era of warfare, go for Battlefield 2042. And of course, only buy when they are on sale.

I loved the video showcasing the Archer tank-destroyer! I had no idea that driving an Archer TD was even a thing. The 17-pounder main gun looks impressive in the video. While it may not have a big impact in the game, in real life, the 17-pounder was a powerful weapon that could easily take down a Tiger 1 tank. So cool!

Yeah, unfortunately it's a bit underwhelming damage-wise, probably for balancing reasons. But still kinda cool to use!

@@degbil I’ve always wanted to play a version of Battlefield with realistic tank damage. In real life most MBTs in BF3, 4, and 2042 would slice through an infantry fighting vehicle, or, especially something soft like a jeep or a helicopter, like a hot knife through butter. Likewise, in BF5, a 17-pounder or a Sherman up-gunned with the M1 76mm gun would one shot a Tiger 1 all day. But then people would complain that tanks are too op (which is kind of the point of tanks, but oh well 🤷♂️).

When you first enable the DX12, it will go through a caching phase. You will need to play each map a few times for it to stop stuttering. It's caching the shaders as you play.

Man i miss battlefield, i used to roll with Renault FT on the city maps i forgot what the name was but i remember just pushing thorugh buildings and fire machineguns and cannons alike while others help me clear the building. All fun and games until they shut down servers on ps4
