Very good review. Which beach resort in Bali do you suggest with price range as conrad with picturesque relaxing beach?

Thank you for the kind words! In regards to your question, that's a tough one since you are basically spoiled for choice. You have pretty much every hotel brand available on Bali! Apparently, the beaches on the east side of Denpasar are nicer to swim in. So best is to narrow it down by your favorite hotel chain and see what they have in the area. Hope that helps!

Can first class ticket holders can access first class lounge after arriving or it only accessible while departing time??

As far as I know, you can only access the first class lounge of the airport you are departing FROM, not the airport you are flying TO. :/ There might be some exceptions depending on the airline you’re flying with, though. Chances are rather low, however.

Ooh! Love hikes and live for cities with excellent5 star hotels for me to do picky videos about lok😂 Cities that are safe too! Planning a trip to HK now. Had one planned before, but flu season caused me to have to cancel and stick with Hawaii back then. Finally HK this year! Which month is this? Do you happen to know which hotel in HK has the best indoor pool?

Hey there, HK is definitely worth a visit. I took the hiking video during summer, which was quite rough. Temperatures go up to 35 Degrees Celsius (95 Degrees Fahrenheit or so?) and the humidity is high. The nicest time imo to visit is around spring time. In regards to the nicest indoor pool, the Ritz-Carlton Hongkong has a fantastic indoor pool with a stunning view!

How was the sand in the beach? Fish in the water ti see while snorkeling anywhere nearby? Trash or no trash in the water? Thanks for your reviews ❤

The sand itself was fine but don't expect white fine sand. More the yellow-ish slightly coarse sand. We didn't try snorkeling nearby but I'm sure there's tour operators that offer that. I reckon that you would have to drive out a bit into the sea to get away from the sea weed. From my impressions, the water itself was clean. Not much trash or foam, if any. Of course, that can change quickly depending on the season, wind direction, etc. unfortunately. Hope that helped :)

Was wondering about this place! Had to cancel a trip that was planned to Bali during the flu season 😂 but this Conrad was on the list. Super cheap for a Conrad! The Conrad in Tokyo was a great value of Hilton reward points IMO…but not as wonderful as that Park Hyatt Tokyo! Love your picky reviews. Mine are the same (on my channel, but more low tech ! 😅 I like to also know what the crowd was like’ helps to make a decision.

Thanks for the kind words! Appreciate it :) The guests at the Conrad Bali seemed like your pretty standard mix of Americans and Asian tourists. During our stay there was a conference so the guest profile leaned a bit more towards that (meaning the pools were less used, which was great). I also heard that the lounge is now properly open and operating again so that makes the property even better!

Oh my gosh, Voco totally budget Andaz! I stayed at the one in St Augustine one of the (oldest cities in the US) and it was …well…yeah. Ok. I do reviews about hotels from a picky perspective, but spoiler: not really a Voco fan from what I’ve seen. Andaz can be cool but it’s no Ritz 😂 like your reviews a lot. Hope you go to Maui in Hawaii to review b there!

I was the Duty Manager at the original: The Regent, Hong Kong (started in 1989 for nearly 10 years)....as it was formally named. I was hired by Rudi Greiner, the founding GM and had the privilege of getting to know Bob Burns, Founder of The Regent Hotel, Hong Kong and developed it into a world-famous luxury brand. Remember The Beverly Wilshire & Pretty Woman...? That was a Regent Property ^_^ It started as: The Regent, Hong Kong Four Seasons (second branding) Intercontinental (Third branding) Regent ~ Current brand..... I also worked as a Chef in all the restaurants as well ~ We created "YU at The Regent" featuring LIVE seafood, which replaced the second floor of Plume Restaurant (Fine Dining). Sadly I hate the new room designs, from what this video shared.....BUT the Public Spaces ~ Bars, Lounges and restaurants = Spectacular! Thank you for sharing this experience......

@@unmatchedvoyages You'd have to see what the original room designs (elegant and classy) were to understand. Rooms now look like something out of GenX, hard to understand the designers concept...or maybe I'm just too old!

I think as long as you’re following the rules and guidelines that the staff have put up, you should be fine! We never felt unsafe, at least. Most wildlife we encountered on site was pretty spooked by us and ran away quickly :)

Hey Eric, yes, we came with a diamond status. Upgrade from the smallest to the biggest room was of course a strong perk. Besides that, the 25% off all food and Spa expenses are really valuable at this place, since you’ll eat on premise pretty much exclusively. We saved quite a good amount through that :)

I have flown on ANA in business class a few times, I don’t understand why you didn’t store your backpack in the overhead bins where it should’ve gone with your mattress pad, pillow and blanket. You didn’t seem to be satisfied with food. Never had an issue with food you complain about no amenity kit. When was the last time you used inside of the kit, I never have. You complained about the bed. The only thing that you didn’t complain about was the table. I enjoy fine ANA in business class, apparently this airlines is not for you

Hey Wayne, ANA undoubtedly has some fantastic business class products, include it’s THE ROOM seat. But this seat type is on the older side, so when pondering whether this seat is a good value (for me), I take that into account. Not everyone might share my thoughts or put the same weight on the same things as me, of course. In regard to the amenity kit, I actually use the kits on flights. I also love to use the toiletries kit from flights as my main kit when traveling. :)

Thanks for the video. I'm going to spend my birthday there in June. I have been going to this hotel since 1992, when it was a Regent hotel. I stayed there multiple times when it was the Intercontinental. I was so looking forward to what they'd be doing with the makeover but I must say I am really disappointed with the revamp. While they may have been going for a zen look and feel, I personally think it's a very sad and unimpressive design. I'm hoping that it will look better in person but I'm not holding out high hopes.

Hey Charles, I hope you will still enjoy your stay there. While I generally agree with you that the change after the revamp could have been bigger, the atmosphere and especially the attention to detail in the Regent is still something that is hard to convey in a video and better to experience in person.

Isn't it a bit odd that you have to walk through the bathroom to get to the door entrance if you're sharing this room with someone like a friend or relative? It can be very awkward or even inconvenient if one person is showering or bathing and the other person is trying to enter or leave the room

That's a good point. Definitely a bit odd to have the bathroom as a space to pass through. I didn't mind being there with my wife, but it can be a bit odd indeed if you're there with someone you aren't as close with

@@kelvinwong4804 My assumption is that they had certain constraints with the floorplan layout of the building, as well as e.g. ceiling height. A complete rebuild of the building might have cost a multiple of that. It might be worth checking out if all the rooms have this layout or if there are some that are designed differently. We only got to see this one room type.

It was a Regent, then it was an Intercontinental for a long time and now it's back to what it used to be, a Regent. I think the renovation has been pretty failed and the market probably sees it that way too. The rates are sometimes 2-3 times lower than those of the competition.

It might also be a bad timing of the revamp since Hongkong's tourism landscape has changed a lot from more international tourists to mainland Chinese tourists.

I went to the Hyatt Grand Central and I had absolutely no problem. Yes the carpet in the lobby was stained a little but nothing bad. I would go back to stay again
