I play this at my school. It is such a great song to play on a base drum

one of the bass drums got our director to play this and i thought it was a musescore shitpost

hot take, overrated, its generic as hell, oak mountain is the only hs band that's done it well and now every freshman does it thinking its peak and absolutely butchers a cadence that's already mid as hell

Growing up is realizing the tenor part is actually impossible to play 😢once you know correct technique

The tenor part is scary but I can play the snare part of this song with only 2 weeks of practice

The forbidden cadence. If you see someone playing this at my school you are given the obligation to stop them with all of your power

See, when it goes into that really long part of just one tenor, the entirety of our band goes wild and we all cheer once the person plays it

I play the quad part and the solo actually isn’t that hard once you get the hang of it! (I still struggle tho ofc hitting the rims time to time) Just split it into groups that’s all and play slowly at first then gradually get faster! :)

I think measure 42 should be 3/4 so next one is just straight 4/4 eight triplets

As a basser in my drumline, we wouldn't even be able to play the 3/3 beats lol

The solo is hard but the audience’s cheers are worth it. It’s also good because the cheers hide any mistakes you make as long as you keep playing 👍🏻.

I love it when the warthogs above join in on the snare part. Gives it that extra touch. *Italian hand kiss thing*
