They call him a slap shot merchant but he is also really one of the most skilled wingers the game has ever seen

when he hit 1990s hockey arena in the NHL , no one in same level, not mario lemieux, not Gretzky, but forsberg challenged him but jagr toko the cake IMO. my own theory is here showed; how much ice hockey player care, how much he wants to make a goal or give the pass for teammate who able to scores and how much puts a care for the defense, when we all remember jagr was excellent back checker and because of that, he stopped many dangerous looking scoring changes because of his middle ice effective and smart back checking. He understood some defensive playing pretty well. People dont know when they gives a critic that jagr was bad /awful in his own end, he wasnt, but once he left Penguins, he became unmotivated and lazy player in Caps and rangers. I remember i even was yelling at home "boo buu jagr why you became so lazy" when in penguins in 1990s era i was saying always "wow you are best jagr because you wants more than anyone else"

Caps fan, here. Had to check in as Flower makes his final start in Pittsburgh tonight. One of a kind. Ultimate competitor. Tremendous netminder and an even better human. Thanks for the (mostly bad) memories, Flower. 🥲

Павел Валерьевич не забил больше всех голов, он не отдал больше всех передач, но Павел Валерьевич самый уникальных игрок в истории мирового хоккея, он Волшебник, другого такого не будет!

It's absolutely amazing the telant johnny had stuffed in a small size body it was like he saw the ice and the teammates so differently he could basically make what seemed like nothing plays and moves and turn them into crazy goals and crazy scoring chance just like some other great player did over 20yrs ago it was like we flames had a mini version of the great one Wayne Gretzky but I'm not say johnny just gretz cus nobody can touch that dude but johnny was great in his own and not only will us flames miss his personality and awesome play but so will blue jacket fans they were just slowly seeing what us flames fans in Calgary witnessed in awe and shock that little spark plug is going to be sooooo miss in not only Calgary but throw out the hockey world R.I.P #13 JOHNNY HOCKEY 😢❤😊 yr family holds a special place in the hearts of the ppl in Calgary never to be forgotten...I was sure which flames player I was going to put on my flames Alternate red home jersey but now I know #13 with honor and pride 😊❤

Lol goalies back then just look silly the flopping over etc and not using the butterfly

One thing I wish for the NHL to do is make their archives accessible so we can revisit spectacular seasons like this. And they really need to put isocams on the goalies and make that available as well; the way the broadcast footage is shot you miss 50% of what makes these elite keepers so special.
