I think Lorelai was right going in by herself Emily can be very stressfull and yelling or complaining about Lorelai would not go well while she is giving birth. Alot can happen to the baby. I mean if Lorelai had a misscarriage Emily would fell terrible.

In this moment, Emily had every right to be pissed. Lorelai left without actually telling her parents she's in labor; just left them a note. Any mother would be out of their minds with worry if their daughter, whose about to have a baby herself, didn't ask for help. What if Lorelei got kidnapped or injured on the way to the hospital?

Not at all. Lane was the most loveable character on the show until Amy decided she no longer liked her. Turning Lane into her mother was horrible of her.

Well to be honest, which parents would be happy and supportive, when their daughter leaves them a note to not only inform them that she is pregnant, but already in the hospital delivering the baby. Yes her parents were strict, but lorelei is as much at fault for their strained relationship as her parents.

I said the reaction of her parents are understandable and if she is stressed maybe she should have told her parents about her pregnancy before she is already pushing out a baby.

Lorelei was always terrible to her parents. The whole "Friday night suppers." Why do you think Richard and Emily requested that as part of the agreement to pay for Chilton and later Yale. THEY WANTED TO BE IN HER LIFE! And all she ever did was complain about having to go. I would kill to have family supers with my parents. I've got good parents don't get me wrong but I wouldn't be complaining if they wanted to have supper with me once a week. Yes, they often offended her or put their noses too deep into her business but that's because their views and ways of living are extremely different than their daughter. It was very obvious they did love their daughter they were just super strict with strict ideas of what her life should have been. I did not live up to my mom's expectations (they weren't unreasonable) and I can tell she's unhappy about that. I just hate her so much when she complains about spending time with her parents... do you know how many people have parents who make 0 effort? And the fact that Loreli is jealous that her parents treat Rory differently... of course they do! It's normal for people to treat their grandkids differently than their own kids. Besides, Rory didn't fight them on EVERYTHING, she was willing to try things and was willing to do things she didn't want to do in order to make her grandparents happy... something Lorelai would never do and then she wonders why they treat Rory better. I'm sorry this long but Lorelai is such a selfish entitled little shit sometimes. Yes, Emily and Richard go overboard, say the wrong things, get too involved, and can be quite harsh on their daughter, especially in this scene, but I cannot stand Loreali complaining. Emily and Richsrd had a funyy way of loving Lorelai. Lorelai don't have be like her parents and lik what they like. Emilh is controlling and broke uo her own daughters relationship. She called Lorelai names in front of Rory. Her parents are cruelyo her. I can go on. if my parents did that to me I wouldn't give them any chance to see me.
