Would it be easier to cut the scoop with a full-depth pocket operation? That way you wouldn't have to re-create all the blind tenons.

Is there a list available anywhere on the default codes to use when creating formulas i.e W=cabinet width, H =height, etc. Ive used Moziak for years and sad to say I never got involved with the parametric programing aspect. Its game changing!

You have to manually change the thickness in the Material Template to change it.

I'm a Cabinet Vision engineer. Does Mozaik allow for User Created Standards? In CV we can make UCSs to manually program CV to do things that it wasn't originally able to do. For example, I can make notched hanging rails from blind nailers on uppers, parametric sex bolts, one piece face MDF face frames.... I even have a UCS that activates when a face frame cabinet face grows above 48" and changes it's dowel boring pattern between a case and face frame from a parametric hole placement that reads from the overall part length on our OMAL edge borer to a fixed pattern running from both ends of the panel part. Tons of super complex stuff that we have to manually program. Does Mozaik have options for an unlimited amount of high level customizations like CV does with its UCSs?

Question about Machining this on the CNC... Have you actually cut this out on a CNC router? What router do you use? I was wondering if you would do this as a Flip sheet? Do you think one should maybe space this like a few inches from the edges.. and do the backside machining and Miter on the back, First... then Flip to the front and machine and cutout last?.... I guess part alignment on the flipping part, needs to be really accurate...

FROST, in version12 of Mozaik... do you think if I use the 3D Viewer and you also go into the product editor, select the part, and select High Detail, Do you think you will see the MDF Face Frame/Door Combo.... showing the way the machining will turn OUT? so that you can see the beaded look that will be machined into the MDF Face Frame?
@frostcnc4712
@frostcnc4712 11 ай бұрын
Unfortunately not, the beading is coming from an edge tool group around each door/drawer front...which won't translate to the MDF face frame

Thank you for these tutorials! Oddly, ToeH if brought down as a parameter override and changed from the library default, messes up the z position of the partition when changed from ToeH=4-0" to 3-1/4". In the case of lowering ToeH to match an adjoining cabinet with casters where I lose 3/4", I am now debating blocking the casters up 3/4" vs. trying to figure out how to get my overridden ToeH recognized so I can parameterize the entire build. I've also seen instances where parameterized W or L is not picked up on a formula for 3D position, rather Mozaik seems to use the default W or L prior to parametric modification. But not always. Perhaps a bug or operator error?

I've been so eager to use the drawer front adjusters, but couldn't ever use them on shaker doors for overlay FF or frameless since they are too thick for the recessed center panel. Looking forward to actually being able to use them now that inset can be fully machined!

All of the inside edges on the face frames have an 1/8" radius. So you have to chisel out every corner to get it square? This looks cheap and is closer to big box store level of quality. Certainly not the level of cabinetry that would command a high enough price to allow you to "print money".
@MadbearWoodworking
@MadbearWoodworking Жыл бұрын
No customer will ever care and or notice an 1/16" radius in the corner of the frame. These are money in the right application! 🦕
@ericw6563
@ericw6563 Жыл бұрын
@@MadbearWoodworking Your customers may not notice or care...which is fine, but thats just a testament to the market you work in. I'm sure there is a market for this type of faux premium cabinet construction... its just not high end custom cabinetry. But if these really make the money printer go burr, as you claim, then let's see the financial breakdown, so I can compare to my dinosaur ways.

@@MadbearWoodworking, I personally machine all my doors with a 0.06 radius on the outside... and it's great
@BrennanBuilders
@BrennanBuilders 8 ай бұрын
Is the issue at hand here really how to remove a 1/16” radius inside corner? Or is the issue the material used to make the frame. Like all the dinosaurs in this message group here, chisel maybe, but a small block of wood with some 220 on it, would also remove these in literal seconds each.

Interesting approach. I assume you made it the way you did to allow for storing tools and so forth inside (which would be useful)? Have you found that the cut out areas reduce the stability of the torsion box at all? Thanks!

I've switched over to buying my bits directly from China since that last about 3/4 as long as the Amana bits I used to buy but only 1/4 the price. At roughly the same price as the Amana bits I used to buy, I'm interested to see how it holds up against it. I'll have to get a few and test them out. I'll update my comment once I have some results.
