2:30 I REALLY had to blink because my special monitor enhances bright lights to a higher level than "normal" monitors! That HUGE blast is so realistically *bright!* Something I've not seen in a videogame for ages!!

Gotta give it to the voice actor who plays the pilot in the intro, all of the voice acting and cutscenes in this game are very good for their time but the intro is something else, just phenomenal stuff. Doesn't venture into cheese territory even once, dude sounds genuinely terrified, the line about the "death black ships" legit sounds like PTSD. Right from the beginning, when he is "requesting IMMEDIATE, ASSISTANCE" the emphasis on "assistance" and the cracking in his voice is clearly the tone of a man pushed past his breaking point. "PILOT - sit tight, we are sending recovery craft righ-" "SEND FIGHTERS! I know they're following me, send everything you have, NOW!". I remember sitting in my room, having played hundreds of hours of X-Wing vs Tie Fighter and Wing Commander titles, knowing that this was going to be a great experience but completely unprepared for the intensity of this scene, watching this intro unfold absolutely stunned at the quality of the whole thing. I knew this was going to be the best space shooter I had played in a good long time, and it ended up being the last great space shooter series that I played.

I am glad I discovered Freespace back sometime in early 2010s. Was just looking for a game that can run on my shitty PC at the time. Damn shame there isn't a sequel to Freespace 2. All these great IPs just being held hostage.

Never realized just how "slow" moving all the ships actually are. I get it's for gameplay purposes though. There any mods for FS2 that has ships engaging from a distance and the fighters are actually moving really fast? Only one I can think of is the Diaspora mod.

En lo particular, en mi primera run, con calma y tomando decisiones que realmente yo sentia, disfrutando de la experiencia completa saque el final donde ciri parece quemuere geralt le avisa al padre, va por unas espadas y se las entrega de regalo a ciri por hacerse una bruja, de ahi volvi a jugar un new game plus, en marcha mortifera (para mi platino) y decidi hacerlo mas rapieo sin darle mayores vueltas y tomar las decisiones contrarios a mi primera run para ver otro final y saque uno donde ciri al parecer si muere y geralt viejo y "sin garras" va EPICAMENTE contra toda una manada de monstruos y contra la moira EL SOLO los masacra mientras se sienta en la cabaña cuando encuentra el medallon de ciri, mientras la toma de camara se aleja y de fondo se ve la cabaña y como se van acercando mas monstruos SE ME HUZO UN FINAL EPICO, FUE INCREIBLE LA CINEMATICA Y COMO LE LANZA LA ESPADA A LA MOIRA TEJEDORA Y LE SALEN CUERVOS EN FORMA DE SANGRE nonono increible y siento que al primer final que saque le falto una buena cinematica o algo

Alpha 1 survived and got trapped at earth when the Lucifer exploded and destroyed the sol jump node.

I loved the game since testing out the DEMO! *GREAT voice actors, great Music* that intensifies or switch to victory, depending on the situation/action! And the visuals are still amazing! And the story is FUN/interesting! And I love how it feels like a movie with missions switching even during combat! EDIT: And seeing the characters face as they talk to you is so immersive, somehow! Why don't they do this in the most popular space games anymore? Star Citizen, *Elite Dangerous don't do this. (*but the new radio chatter with good voice actors is great!)
