Hello! I just discovered your channel and immediately subbed! I have never done beading but am very interesting in trying! I was wondering what beads you use, what size? What are the essential tools I would need to make some cute fruits and veggies like this? I want to make earrings too so maybe I’ll need some pliers? Where can I buy these materials? Love your work and passion!

Hi! Thanks for subscribing 🫶🏻 I use mostly size 11 seed beads they measure approx 1.8-2mm, try to stick to the bigger brands such as miyuki, toho and preciosa as it’s really important that all the beads are uniform in size and shape, cheaper seed beads can mess up the shape of your work as they are all different sizes. For thread there’s lots to choose from I use nymo or fireline, nymo is a cheaper option and is very strong but I prefer fireline because it doesn’t tangle or separate which makes the job a lot easier and less frustrating! You’ll also need some beading needles, size 10 and 12 are good for use with seed beads, I find a bead mat or piece of felt to work on helps to make it all easier so your beads are easy to pick up and not rolling away. And that’s the basic stuff you’ll need to get started, you can get most materials online I shop on Etsy for a lot of my supplies or you can look up bead shops local to you to see what’s around. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions and happy beading 🫶🏻🥳😁

@@BeadingbyHannah thank you so much! Do you recommend buying beads on Amazon or Etsy? Also I’d love to see some beaded star fruits or figs? Foods like Fruits and veggies in general are cute 😋 Have you heard of studio Ghibli? I think these would be very popular.

I keep breaking the beads after so many passes through them. Is there another way to do this without all of those passes?
@2FlamezDS11 күн бұрын
Then you needlessly and or thread is too big or beads are too small. Most bead pattern use 11/0 beads. I use 4lb thread and do just fine.

Lol just like I ask you in every video I comment on, could I use miyuki delicas to make this?? The reason I always ask you is because I have a BUNCH of Miyuki delicas and I need projects to start using them and you are one of the best teachers I've found on youtube. Your instructions are clear, you're not trying to talk over weird music playing in the background, you work close to the camera so it's easy to see what you're explaining. You are fantastic. Please don't ever stop uploading these beading videos ❤❤❤❤
@BeadingbyHannah28 күн бұрын
Thank you so much!!!! it’s been a long time since I’ve made one of these chicks so I can’t remember exactly what the process was like and how that would work with a different shaped bead but I’m guessing it would most likely work out very similar with delicas :)

Would it be possible to do this design using Miyuki delicas? As opposed to round seed beads? Thank you 👍😇
@BeadingbyHannahАй бұрын
I haven’t tried it but I would say it will probably work fine but just might not have such a smooth rounded shape because of the flatness of the beads :)
