That was amazing. When I first played this game, it felt as bold and bombastic as this piece, and while fighting Dark Gaia, this is what my mind heard, even as the original song played. You've done this track justice.

"Square Enix" probably should hire you, sounds better than in pixel remasters, in my humble opinion.
@darkshinryu6 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment. I've only listened to the pixel remaster version once when it came out, I didn't want to be influenced by other remakes of the track. So I'll trust your opinion. :)

@@darkshinryu I only just recently finished it for the first time on my emulator a year or 2 ago, but I 100%ed everything in it. I did 99 of every addition, got everyone's dragoon to lvl 5 and found all the stardust and killed the secret boss from it, got everyone's final weapon ect. Only thing I didn't do was lvl up everyone to the max which I think is 60 but still.

Awesome cover, love the original, it feels so overshadowed with others like Jenova and Sephiroths theme. Also just a note to those don't understand why this isn't in part 2. It's not Sephiroth.

I hope you are truly proud of your arrangement of the third movement. It just shows a wonderful understanding and also some good exploration of that part of the material! You kept the frantic energy without the organ and still retained the religious cadences. Really well done. I wonder if the organ in Part 4 could also be some dark/dramatic/unsettling staccato'd or tremolo'd strings instead... just get rid of the organ altogether. :) Lovely.
@darkshinryu10 ай бұрын
Thanks a lot for the nice comment! Part 3 is where I got stuck, I almost didn't finish the piece because of it, than one evening it clicked and I did the whole part in a couple of hours. So I'm glad it seems people liked it. Tremolo strings would probably work well for the beginning of part 4, I went with the organ because I wanted to retain the feeling of the original piece for those few seconds, right before the grand finale. :)

Oh, I'm awestruck now! You've got that rare skill of "turning the intended conposers' music from the raspy GBA speaker sounds into orchestral ear-pleasers". You're grasping the intended mood and harmonies from the games I loved and make them audible. Thank you so much!❤
