I got the plugs off with put cutting wires . On the round plug Take a small little screw driver and pry the two latches up lightly very carefully just enough to clearn , no more. On the little square plug in center Un latch it on side facing round plug with little screw driver and I used water pump pliers to wiggle top of plug back and forth and pull out as you do. Keep plier on top of plug only. On the big square plug I very careful broke the plastic cross latch catch off on the old climate control plug. Your trashing the old Control anyway . Be careful and don't break the hook on the car plug that goes in it. Them I used water pump pliers to pull and wiggle it. All worked good for me. Make sure you stay on top part of plug with pliers and not bottom. The parts of the latch on the old plugs are of of no value as you trash it so don't worry about that part of latch. On water pump pilier only put them smug so you don't damage plastic plug . Use care

I recharged my a/c and it works great on my driver side but mediocre at best on the passenger side. I ordered one of these and it comes tomorrow. I hope this is the issue because it was more expensive(oem part) than what you paid 🤣. It also seemed to blow slightly less on the passenger side than the driver side.

Did the module fix the issue?😊 I'm having something similar happen in my Juan Carlos
@kevinkennedy3242 Жыл бұрын
@hillaryritchey6741 no it didn't. I then replaced passenger side blend actuator and it helped passenger side. The driver side seemingly is now doing the same as the passenger side was doing so now I think I have to replace driver side blend actuator

FWIW I also swapped out my case fans with lower decibels ones and add antivibration gaskets. This made a huge difference with both the motherboard swapped and case fans it's now VERY quiet. No problem, glad to help! I saw on merits newer rx model it used this motherboard. Since the form factor was the same I figured it should work. Since it didn’t have the cpu blower type fan I figured it should be much quieter and it was.

So did you end up getting the skee ball home Deluxe or home premium and how is it holding up?
@cardguy1000 Жыл бұрын
Yeah we got the real skee ball home classic. It’s holding up great, it’s commercial quality so I don’t have any concerns about longevity at our home. Only thing to be aware of is the noise made from rolling the balls is quite loud in a basement. You can hear it loud and clear upstairs. We still really enjoy it though. It’s just like playing at the arcade.

Just replaced module with a $70 eBay one. To those reading this…the a/c button was the the problem on the old module. It caused the compressor and fans to work intermittently and not at the same time. I did check the vent doors and they were fine. I did not take the entire plastic housing off and it too me 15 minutes to change out.

My ONLY problem is the ac/heat/vent Selector Knob. I internally cracked and now the knob just spins as if lubricated and does not switch to anything but the setting it was at before breaking which was HEAT!!! Can that Selector Knob, on the far right, be replaced/fixed? Please someone reply.
@RustyCar11 ай бұрын
Have you found a solution? Mine is doing the exact same thing. I’ve been using a pair of pliers to turn the metal post. The plastic selection dial was stripped/broken, and I have a ‘new’ one, and it’s stable for a couple selections, but then spins on other selections. I’m thinking the whole control unit needs to be replaced.

WOW--- I replaced my module today and planned thereafter to take Lizzy to an AC shop as I thought the compressor was bad BUT after the new module was installed the AC works perfect. The problem must have been the bad switch (right side). Thanks for your video. It made the job super easy when you know how uncomplicated it is.

I have had two hot tubs from these folks and never had an issue!! Family owned and operated, I have known them for 20 years and getting ready to pick up the 8x16 swim spa for my new home!! This will be number 3!! I am driving from Colorado to buy a swim spa from these folks and hauling it home. I know them and trust them and you cant go wrong with this brand.

So in a case such as yours, for potential warranty work do they subcontract that out to spa tech companies in your area?

had the same issue and just replaced the blower motor resistor. I promise you its exactly the problem. They put to low of fuses on the resistor so after so long they heat up and melt the solder joint. you will see what im talking about when you replace it. here is the part I used www.amazon.com/ACDelco-15-80571-Original-Equipment-Conditioning/dp/B000C9DIQC/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=blower+motor+resistor&qid=1572710540&refinements=p_89%3AACDelco&rnid=2528832011&s=automotive&sr=1-1&vehicle=2000-45-385------------2&vehicleName=2000+Buick+Century. Check out youtube videos on how to replace it. its a tight space but can be easily done with no special tools. just patience and making sure you get screws out.

So I bought the Amazon part ($33)and installed it. Wow it is very difficult to squirm under the dash and replace this. I should have taken the seat out. Anyway this DID NOT FIX the problem. My fan only works on very low or very high.
@axxxtw6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for this video. Very helpful. Be advised: If the problem centers around the fan speed switch failing, that can be replaced easily!! AC-DELCO part 15-5691 can be purchased for about $16.00. I have not yet figured out the part number for the other switch which selects vent, defrost, heat, etc. Be nice to have that part number....

Hey man thanks for video taping this job, need to tackle the same thing in the coming days. Did your fan switch stop working correctly or stay running when car was off? What happened here
@cardguy10006 жыл бұрын
Stevie, I had to replace because my fan would only work on certain settings. If it jiggled it just right then it'd end up working but eventually there were certain numbers that just wouldn't work.
