@@khabuda because mine is surrounding a large wardrobe, with large crossbeams across it for holding the doors and a shelf, and I want to modify the wardrobe. As great as these are, they present large and difficult problems for even basic modifications.

This is just what I needed thank you. I had a terrible carpenter install my back door, the gap on the hinge side was none existent while on the other side the gap was over a quarter inch and bugs where getting in from it.

We've been welding all of our masonry frames over the last few months instead of ordering them custom. Is there some sort of jig made to keep the legs 90 degrees to the head? I made a jig out of wood the frame sits on but if I had something more sturdy, that'd be great.

Put the hardware side of the frame flush to the wall face. Not centered in the block. So door can open to 180 degrees to the wall.

I know that this is just a demo, but a wrap around frame would be a much better choice in this case. The finished base whether it's rubber or wood hates having to return less than an inch. It's much better to run straight into the frame if you want the adhesive to keep it on.

This is a great example of how you are supposed to install a metal door frame but fails to show how long before you replace said frame. Yes installation makes sense and is right, but I have to replace these steal frames and doors, because they rust.

You failed to mention that you should also check that the door frame is on the same plane by cross stringing before drywall. Especially and certainly on double door openings. String should touch where they cross. If not, the frame is out of alignment and needs to be adjusted.

Very good work
