I'm in California. Would it be okay to leave these outside in the shade during the winter for the spring garden and late summer for the fall garden? I don't have space in my home, so just need to know where the best spot would be. Maybe on my patio? Please let me know and thank you.

My garden was full of these when I bought the house a few years ago. We pulled up 4 inches of soil all over the lawn and replaced with fresh soil with no weeds. Roundup didnt do the trick for us. The onion weeds still come up! Its alot better now but they literally can grow from seeds deep down in the soil. Like you said, a nightmare but Im digging them out as I find them and hopefully in a couple of years we should be rid of them. Hard work

I got a bucket like that and gonna do the same. But wonder if lack of oxygen would be a problem since its sealed?
