That may be true since Sango was also still pretty young when the series started and her clan was slaughtered. And before the series, I am no love expert but generally there isn't a mood for trying to flirt with a girl when her dad is just a few feet away and heavily armed. And most of the men in the slayer village, even if they were single, all looked older than her. So I doubt there was any boy she liked that she grew up with in the village, and then died when the village was killed.

It definitely could be interpreted that way, astute. Miroku is older than Sango is too, so it's a believable trope, especially back then. However, I always liked to believe that Miroku and Sango fall in love, and Kagome and InuYasha fall in love, because of their journey together. There's an episode where Sango is going to get proposed to by the Lord from an encampment she visited earlier, and Miroku believes that perhaps being with him isn't the best thing for her, and maybe she should settled down. By the end of the episode, they are both chipper about the fact that they 'can continue their journey together', which is really half pursuing their relationship at that point. That's just me though 😉

The author confirmed that Kagura's love was unrequited (source : Inuyasha wide), and Sesshoumaru apon the rare occasion would drop off gifts for Rin to find in Kaede's house. They didn't actually have an "proper visit" until she was an adult (over age 14 in feudal era) to discuss her choice - stay in the human village or return to his side.

Also koga promised to marry Ayame when she was a young girl. That was common. People need to grow up, this is fantasy fiction not real life.

(Hmmm it just hit me that it's odd that they both had twin girls... but any way), at that time and through most of history that was a common age to have children, so both Rin and Sango were just doing what people did back then.

Inuyasha English dub is one of the best dubs. The sub is awesome too, but I prefer a few voice in the dub. Like Kagura's English dub voice actress is awesome. I prefer Kagome in the dub as well. Of course both the original Japanese Sesshomaru and English dub Sesshomaru are beyond great.

There's an side comic of pre Yashahime, it shows Kagome talking about how Sesshoumaru is actually very patient and kind. He had to learn fast if he wanted to keep his only 2 friends,.

I was more of a Kagura/ Sesshomaru shipper. Rin felt more like a Younger sister for him.

A girl or woman (usually) who is needed to help free the beast from a curse or their own personality that keeps them beastly. That is often used as a romantic buildup.
