Tofazfou is my go to channel and for good reason. Here is my question because am going nuts. I fill the gun (zelos about 3 days old), hammer spring all the way out, reg 2200 PSI. I chrony it with .25 25.39 jsbs I get 800 to 810 fps. I put the gun away for 2 hours. Fill it back up, without changing any settings now it gets 953 fps. What could be going on here?

I just got a Remington 597 .22 powder burner. I replaced the crap 4×32mm Centerpoint with a Hammers 3-9x40mmAO and a Diana droop compensation mount (it's the closest thing I could get to a 20moa base that goes from a dovetail mount to a Picatinny mount).

ok, sorta long story. The frame of the gun is made by AIRFORCE Airguns. Just google them (the name Airforce Airguns). There are airgun webstores such a pyramid air or utah airguns that you can buy a SIMILAR gun from. But, this rifle is a full on custom build and cannot be bought over the counter. Even the barrel is this gun is NON STANDARD and is custom machined with all sorts of other custom parts. Took two years to complete. The closest thing you can buy NOW in performance is the Airforce Texan .257 caliber.

Sick rifle in a healthy way, but it doesn't seem to have a regulator, how can it be consistent?
@jb37572 күн бұрын
Boy that build and setup is fire, however at those ranges one would need a great glass to see the misses, all and all awesome shooting.
@TofazfouКүн бұрын
yes, you are 100% correct. Good/great glass is def needed. Turning your scope up to max or near max is often done with these sort of shots. Got to have glass that performs

The bothe looks better though. The tube hangs to low away from the barrel and looks weird. They should have just made a larger diameter tube

Yep, in the video/camera after production you can but, not while shooting. The video is ENLARGED to bring 415 yards and 501 yrds closer so YOU GUYS Can see what I'm shooting. In actuality, the targets and their backgrounds is SMALL! If i showed the ORIGINAL and unedited video, yall would be asking "how in the heck can you even see the targets"....lol
@varmintknockers2 күн бұрын
I like this kind of content showing the gun getting dialed in with the wind and showing the misses and then you get it dialed in and hitting the target , Good stuff Mr Ced .
@TofazfouКүн бұрын
Thanks VK. I will definitely be making more. And yeah, i agree, showing the MISSES or at least TELLING THE VIEWER HOW MANY TIMES IT TOOK TO HIT your target is something that NEEDS to be talked about more often. We all want to be REAL SNIPERS and make 1 shot-1kill but honestly, shooting 400-1000 yards with a airgun is going to produce a decent amount of misses. If the firearms guys miss at those ranges, its no way we are making it in 1 shot
@derekburton64672 күн бұрын
Dang Cedric ! You are finally reaping the rewards of this build. Long time coming for sure. Glad to see you are making progress. Messaged with Doug a few days ago. I finally got the texan 257 dialed in for the 85gr. slug. 1050 fps at 3350 psi. Staying around 1.5 moa at 200 yrds. Shooting those small targets with no backdrop at 500 is frustrating I'm sure.
@TofazfouКүн бұрын
MAN! Id say 1.5 moa at 200 yrds is pretty darned good! WOW! and the power is also excellent. THats what I like, the Airforce rifles can make power without having to fill the gun up to 3600 or 4000 or 4500 psi

Brother I hope all is well and you and yours are doing well. Love your videos, and appreciate the knowledge you share with we fellow are gunners/shooters. I have an LCS SK-19 in .25 cal. The only thing this Polygonal Choked Match grade barrel seems to like is pellets. Preferably 34 grain FX pellets at least in this barrel. Have you had any luck with slugs and if so which sir? So much potential from this hammerless system but not so much with slugs of any sort so far. .250 cal NSA, JSB…they all seem loose in the mag also🤷🏼♂️. Any insight you may have sir would be a God send. It loves thes FX pellets at 960 FPS but as you know sometimes critters get wise to our vehicles, or us and at the sight of us…their gone. Currently I’m good to 100 yards all day but they are farther out than that now. I need a slug and cannot use a .22LR due to cattle getting spooked. Any advice again would be very helpful. Stay safe and blessed. BTW…AMAZING SHOOTING 🫡 RESPECT 💯

"You know how long I've been waiting for this??" Another fantastic build Ced!! I know you're more into practical shooting than groups- but I'd be interested to see how all the available slugs to against each other at 100 yards. Especially those Altaros slugs...

Yes siiiiiir! Yeah, I shoot groups. Its just hard for me to see there and do a whole days (8 hrs) worth of paper punching. But, Its something I do over time and something I need to do anyways now that this is a NEW gun. I will also be swaging for this rifle now. Im just waiting on dies from Corbin (again, WAITING). This whole "WAIT" thing in the airgun world is killing me and I'm so done. Crazy everything can take YEARS instead of just a few weeks or a couple months. WTF is going on...........lol!

The Notos is by far one of the best wood walkers. It produces 20 foot-pounds of power and can shoot half-inch groups at 50 yards. It's super light, compact, and slim. The trigger is adjustable, and its regulated 21 shots are perfect for a squirrel hunter. It also does not seem to be pellet picky either. It's just perfect! I want to get some squirrels with it this year.

I have my finger crossed for JSB/FX to make a 34 grain MK2 .25 cal Hades/Atomic. My LCS SK-19 is an absolute TACK driver with the FX 34s at 960FPS and if these were to come out…💦😉😂👍💯 Until then though the FX 34s do just fine. I have an ATI Nova Vista Liberty in .22 cal wood stock on high power getting 90 shots per fill from a 230 cc tube. Yeah buddy the tube version of the Zelos is just fine when setup right. The reg on the Liberty is set at 1800 PSI and sends 18.13s at 904-907 FPS. It maybe one of the most accurate PCPs I own that cost less than 300$ back in the day. Stay safe and shoot a lot bud. Thanks for the video and info on the pellets.

@@Tofazfou yea, beauty is in the eye of beholder. lol. Having said that, from a looks standpoint my favorite is an FX DRS Classic walnut stock( no bottle appears) . As air rifles go the Zelos just look odd, as most air rifles have a bottle or tube noticeably larger than the barrel shroud. Again just my opinion. I own 50-60 air rifles some hi end ones and some mid range ones like Snow peak, JTS aircuda, Air Venturi, etc .Fairly new to the sport and am Hooked. Thanks
