This is exactly what I was looking for - I have access to a few of the different versions and I was thinking “where do I start, or are they all the same just under different titles” so this is EXTREMELY helpful! Thank you so much for these resources. Also, I know I might be in the minority, but I understand wanting to remove the Scripture references but not the Scriptural truths. This would be similar to Narnia or Lord of the Rings having strong, overt Biblical principles without being “preachy” and including Scriptures. Sometimes seeing the references make nonbelievers or people who walked away from faith feel like you’re thumping them over the head with a Bible. So I do understand your mom’s choice to remove those references. 💖

Thank you - we just released a new version of my mothers book with scriptures as well as quotes from spiritual leaders - over 170 scriptures in it that I added myself. I felt like it was time to pay a tribute to my mother as well as offer this version for the ladies out there that want the combination of spirituality in their marriage. Faith is a big part of my life, always has been. So this was a project I enjoyed doing and hope other will enjoy it. Here is the link:a.co/d/2NEbPNc

If he's "living in there" there is a large potential that something deeper is going on with him. The key is to investigate it further, find out what's going on with him. Depending on what the root of the issue is, depends on your next move.

I liked this video a lot! Do you think your inner child is the person you really are? Your true self? I saw a sign once that said, "Don't grow up, it's a trap". Sometimes I feel like the grown-up world is too grown-up.

I’ve found that my man knows what things “offend” me and he does these things when he wants to fight, or get even, or let out some sort f his own anger. I actually even see him smile when he does it. It’s a problem. It’s very passive aggressive.

I feel like I could write an essay. My husband’s a perfectionist when it comes to certain things and those things don’t matter enough to me to do attend to every detail every time. My husband’s prioritize a clean house and I prioritize our four kid’s education. He works from home and it makes things worse because I just don’t see the point of cleaning 20 times when I have other things I could do and just clean 5 times a day. He gets so mad that I’m not watching the toddler every second every day. If I do nothing but watch the toddler the other 3 won’t get the education they need plus try to keep up with a few household chores. He is okay with his messy desk and he is okay with his messy top dresser but oh we can’t have stuff cluttering the the kitchen table or counter. He wasn’t this way 16 years ago and his perfection for cleanliness in our most lived spaces has only gotten worse.
@DixieandBob25 күн бұрын
I understand the frustration of trying to meet expectations that don't feel important. Bob is the same way with his work space! Depending on both yours and his personalities, you can find a middle ground. If it were me, I would focus on telling him how you feel vs what you like and don't like. Find a time to talk to him when he's in a good mood and keep it simple and to the point. He might not understand how you feel or even be aware there is an issue (which I know, as a woman is tough to believe). Men rarely get hints and women often hint to communicate. One thing I know for certain, MOST women (not all of course) are MUCH BETTER at multitasking than men. You have the ability to take really good care of your kids while keeping the house running smoothly. Not perfect - but smoothly. He probably doesn't see how much you are multitasking. If he wants perfection, something will have to give. Example: You might prioritize the kitchen and main living area in the evening after meal time but not as much during the day when things get messy anyways. Another idea is to ask him for specific help when you really need it. Example: "I know you've had such a busy day but if there is any way you could take out the trash or give our son a bath tonight it would really help me catch up on getting the kitchen sparkling clean!" ....sometimes you have to try different things depending on the situation you're in. Don't give up!

The Bible says that our husbands are to be the leaders in the home. That is very masculine role. Me and my boyfriend are getting engaged soon Lord willing. What I have found is that I follow the exact principles in Fascinating Womanhood. He is the leader and I am gladly his woman. He is such a wonderful man, and ever since I started applying the rules of this book, his leadership has made me a more feminine woman. And because he is the leader and protector, he has saved me from many problems. I love how Helen so beautifully describes it. However, I have a friend who is dating a man who is also her leader, and he treats her miserably. So I think it definitely depends on the couple

Do you slice your loaf before freezing? Or should it be left whole? Can I grease pans with butter? Can I use avocado oil instead of olive oil? Thanks for making it look so easy!
@DixieandBob25 күн бұрын
I do not slice it before freezing - it might dry up a bit more. You can use butter, depends on how you like it to taste. I find that butter tends to brown the loaf more which causes more of a "toasty" taste to the outside as well as a bit more of a crunch. The most taste-neutral grease in my opinion is Crisco. If you use avocado oil it might have a taste as well....just depends on your preferences.
