1st tip - "embracing the art of gentle disclosure" EXCELLENT! Too many young women erroneously tout their ability to be "direct" when this skill as you described requires more sophistication. Femininity = nurturing the microcosm; masculinity = nurturing the macrocosm.

what a brainwashed way of thinking... be direct and be real, don't play these mind games. Grow up. Stand on your own.

My thoughts, too!

I have struggled with tone with those closest to me vs my tone with others. My tone tends to be more masculine, aggressive and stronger with my children than others. My husband says when I get upset I always sound like I am giving a Dr. Martin Luther King Jr speech. 🤦🏾♀️ I have one son in particular who asks me to talk gentler or nicer. My brain is like how do I do that when I am upset and want to communicate that through my tone. I can’t smile and speak gently when I am chastising the children. They wouldn’t even take me seriously, right? I’d love some examples of how to remain assertive and authoritative in my deliverance when chastising my children without being manly.

I had the same problem when my children were young. I wish I knew about Fascinating Womanhood back then!

Try lowering the volume of your voice. By using a quieter tone, children are apt to pay more attention to you. You can still instruct and convey disappointment while maintaining self control and grace. It’s like magic!

We did a video on Feminine Speech and Tone - I hope you get a chance to watch it. It's an important topic and in need of it's own video!

I would suggest using less words. I agree with lowering the volume, but being intentional about which words we use and use fewer, u can vent to ur friends about how frustrating ur kids are but don't vent while trying to teach them while frustrated. I had to learn that.

Hi ladies, Your books and your mother's books are helping me so much as I'm currently reading them all. I wish I knew this and implemented these 10 years ago when I got married and even long before I got married in my teens and twenties. I'm happy now to be able to teach my 3 daughters these valuable principles early on in their lives instead of growing up around negative feminine role models. Its so good to be the woman God created me to be. I feel so much better not going against my natural desire to be feminine! I've grown tired and wear and hagard trying to compete with the men! Its not attractive nor is it working at all! It feels terrible acting masculine, but feels so so lovely acting like a TRUE Godly feminine woman that God intended.

Dixie. I’m not sure if it is you but I’ve seen a picture of you and your family on the internet with regards to a doctor or who was found dead. If that is the case, I’m so so so so sorry!!!!! Sending lots of love and hugs to you.

Yes that’s my son. He was killed last year. The coroner is trying to paint it as a suicide but that is NOT the case. We will be pushing back as a family. This is just the beginning. 💔
