The trials are some of my favorite parts to go through after an eden run because it a nice reminder to not take your cape/wings for granted (except for fire, I don't find it fun)

You only missed 1 blue spirit in the forest on your first run through which is really good, the gate you couldn’t get through requires all 8 spirits which is a super steep requirement compared to other gates (This doesn’t include purple spirits which are past seasonal spirits only visible after Eden, they don’t count for doors and they don’t appear in constellations, only as traveling spirits)

woo! finally, some good (and fairly easy to get) cosmetics!!! i personally like the capes and outfits and dyes, it adds so much more customization! they could've made the pants you get from basegame spirits (spirits from the 6 realms with them) dyeable though

If I remember correctly in early build that was more like the first game test audience thought something like "Yeah, this game is kinda cool. My little brother would like it. (GTA3 is more of my thing)" And even in the team they were divided about the tone change. But they all agreed that Jak needed a voice. To me this was perfect game. Crash Bandicoot was "too childhish" but GTA had too much violence. Also story and cutscenes are amazing. There are chores yeah, though "collect 90 orbs" in every cutscene would have been kinda bad also. xD But yeah, have fun! Happy to watch people play this for the fist time. :)

Winged light question: Yes, you do need to collect the winged lights manually, but often you don't need them all. Each time you do Eden you get ascended candles, up to 15.75 per week resetting on Sunday reset (midnight PDT between Saturday and Sunday) Using these with spirits ascends the spirit and they give you an extra "wing buff" per unlock, most spirits have 1 of these, but some spirits have 2 or even 3 of them. These are automatically given to you each time you do Eden. After about 5 years I now get reborn with 125 winged lights, and to get all the candles to complete Eden for a week (getting the full 15.75) I need somewhere between 140 and 150 winged lights, so if I'm running weekly I'll only go collect around 15-30 as I do other runs during the week. As you ascend more spirits you become more powerful. The shard events that you saw last episode also have a red variant as well, which also give ascended candles, so you don't have to do Eden to get ascended candles, but to collect the wingbuffs from spirits you ascend, you do need to be reborn.

Yes, you loose all your winged light when going through Eden to Orbit, every time. So that is why people do winged light runs to get them all, or most at least, back. The ones from the red shards you cannot get back instantly. The little prince wants to make friends with the animals and flowers. His best friend is a rose after all. Grandma's area is called the Elevated Clearing. Tree House is another area.

Yes vets have to manually recollect all their non-permanent wl (those scattered across the realms). I liked doing different languages in school and French was my favourite actually even though I did better in Spanish by just a little bit. For our school we had to do both French and Spanish but we also had the option of doing Mandarin too. And another two areas have opened up to you! It is totally awesome that your friends are allowing you to fully explore without giving you spoilers. They are rockstars! I agree with you that there are places in sky that are hauntingly beautiful or downright scary. Perhaps TGC may have already thought about this when designing the different areas. Can't wait to see you explore them all. Lastly, if you need a boost in wings or a lift in the air, do a deep honk/call near butterflies. It is very convenient when you want to fly through an area without touching the ground. You know you have done a deep honk when you do a little jump while rotating 360 degrees on air.

Yes, you still lose all collected wl but no, i dont need to do a winged light run 😂 Long answer= At rebirth i get 124 (or more idk lol) wing light aprox, from wing buffs i bought from traveling spirits and constellation spirits. Plus the 10 wl you get when you go to eden to be reborn, 134. I may pick up the winged lights that are in the way while doing dailies but yeah. As a vet we dont need to, the amount of wl we get from rebirth is enough to get all statues in the eye of eden. However, there are vets that love showing they are vets by having their 12 wedges so they probably do wlr or go to Eden once in a blue moon 😆
