Why do you scan each tote and overflow packeges when loading? Is it faster to just scan the barcode on the cart?

600 minute shift divided by number of deliveries equals 3.09 mins average per delivery assuming shift starts from time of first delivery

From a dsp manager: do not run and try to get done faster. Safety is more important while you’re out there. Unfamiliar ground at times. And roads. Be safe. Not just your life. Others too. Packages will get delivered. That’s why we have flex drivers. So don’t try to run and be extra fast

YOu will never ever catch me "running" for Amazon. Organize those packages by driver aide number. Stop telling us to run.

21:35 yeah, in your app you have the ability to send an auto text to the customer. Use that to alert the customer that their package(s) have arrived plus they will/should get the notification from Amazon via email (by phone or computer) that their package was delivered along with the picture you took of where the package was left. I too in the begining was ringing the doorbell after I drop from habit of when I was with FEDEX but I had to break that habit.

I have my schedule set up to where 90% of my routes I get everyday are homes. So far I've been with Amazon for 3 weeks and I've only delivered to apartments 2 routes out of the 11 days I've been working. Just to clarify, my schedule is T-T-S-S and my days off are M-W-F

They need to get rid of Amazon because you people are just in the way everyday. You mess up the flow of traffic in these apartment complexes delivering packages that weigh less than 5 lbs. Im sick of you people.

How do they determine your route/stops in comparison to your packages? You have 185 stops and 300 pkgs to deliver sounds like critical moment? Why does dispatch get on drivers so he’d for? Thinking about applying for as driver but I’m not looking to getting in trouble for being 1 or 2 stops down, I just wanna get the job done and get home with no hassle!

Just found this video but I have a quick question what do you prefer driver aid # or going by address?… which one is easier and faster for you?
@JAYFLOPROBEATS
@JAYFLOPROBEATS Ай бұрын
I'm 3 weeks in. I prefer driver aid number because unlike when I use to work for FEDEX you never know which route you're gonna be on within the specific area your DSP has assigned to them. Now as far as addresses there is something I do as far as keeping a log of certain addresses that I have to do specific things for like for example. I have the basic address (e.g. "Arlington Ave , or Windbreaker") then beside that I write myself a note stating, "need to get keys from leasing office to enter the apt complexes, COMPLETE BEFORE 5PM) Or another example would be if a certain home address or business wants me to leave the package with a neighbor everytime I'm delivering I have that address in my notepad. I know, I know eventually you will end up with a lot of addresses in your notepad but repetitive delivering everyday will have you eventually remembering a lot of places. Not specifically by name or address so to speak but when you pull up to them it will trigger your brain to remember things from your notes.

I bet they called you the blue blur at work huh lol thanks for the tips though man. Had my first day and spent too much time looking for a spot to deliver the packages. Some apartments make it seem like they don’t even have a damn door to get into. Spent 15 min looking for where to put a simple box. I wanted to do it right you know but fuck that. Next time Ima just leave it somewhere safe, they can come grab it. My dsp got on me for taking long compared to others and I know for a fact dudes are breaking every rule to be fast as shit. 300 packages in 4 hours? Damn

I feel you but I’ve worked at the warehouse that’s way more work I’d love doin this with no nobody over my back it’s all about how hard your willing to work you shouldn’t get this job wanting it to last forever this is a stepping stone this is for people who don’t mind really hard work not saying you don’t it’s hue probably more work than what you’re used to

@b4rs629 Ай бұрын
I don't mind hard work... I just don't like being overworked. That's the key difference. I started 2 months ago. We recently was given a new area due to another dsp shutting down. For the past month now they've been giving me this new area and my stop ratio dropped from 26-28 packages an hr to 15-18 packages an hr due to the new route. The traffic in this new route can make or break your day and your plans on delivery efficiently. I'm talking like spending 8mins at a stop light on a 6-way intersections for a stop that's only 1-2mins away. Somedays I can easily knock out 30-35 stops within the first hour, but then it drops and I average 25-28 stops per hour at the end of my route. I started getting used to my route of 160-170 where I was finishing by 6-7pm... so they added 10 & another 10... I just had 190 last week with 290 packages and was able to knock it out, but the ai route made it easier + I was able to pick and choose my stops while organizing... yesterday they gave me 190... with 250 packages, but the routing was ass because I had so many schools that closed by 3-4pm that I had to choose between my stop ratio or sacrifice my stop ratio early on to deliver those packages first that were 5-15mins apart just in driving... I chose my stop ratio @ like 3:40 and they sent my a rescue of 35 stops, but I gave them 28. At that time I had already knock out almost 100 stops... I ended up finishing my route by like 6:50pm... I could've easily finished the rest of my route by myself, but most of the stops I gave to the rescue were the ones at the end of my route that were timed deliveries.
