The trick is to actually hide behind cover as soon as you see this challenge. If the gargoyle can’t see you from the air for about 10-15 secs it will land on the ground to find you & attack you with its tail. This is your opportunity to weaken it then knife. Def a lot easier to do on solo since it can only target one person. If you’re playing on co-op and none of your teammates know this trick, good luck. It’ll just stay in the air & shoot at whoever it can see

Ehh definitely are better methods. I shredded an ancestor in about 20 secs with disrupter grenades, bulldog with ARK attachment & weapon specialist ability (fully upgraded of course)

Yea mamoths rhino's and phantums just freeze solo in the vanguard sections I always try to fill the alien cap with a phantom in solo speedruns
