The right words elude me, but suffice to say this will be a fitting and wonderful tribute to the memory of Lidice and its people. What happened in Lidice while Czechoslovakia, as it was then known, was under the jackboot of the Nazis was something that was beyond terrible and is a prime example of what can happen to ordinary innocent people when totally evil people get into power. I am very pleased that the people of Stoke on Trent are determined that Lidice and its people are never forgotten.
