Hi thanks for taking the time to do the video. Can you confirm the metal plate is meant to be used on the top like that ? Isn't the rubber foot meant to be in contact with the vehicle on the top side ?

Very good and creative way to fix a bubbling or drooping headliner. The only bad thing with using glue, especially on a thin surface cloth, is that usually the glue bleeds thru and shows stains in the headliner, like in luxury cars. For the surface your fixing, it looks more fluffy and thick, so likely you wouldn't see glue stains if they bleed thru. Very good video. If you just do spots, with not to much glue, it should be fine.

Wouldnt using an iron reheat the glue and re activate it?
@EncompassAdventure
@EncompassAdventure 4 ай бұрын
I like the way you're thinking! It could potentially work, if there's enough glue there to heat up. Be careful putting direct heat on certain kinds of fabrics too. We'll never know unless we try. Happy Building! 🛠

Just a reminder to people that want to recreate this: Use glue with high temperature resistance, normal superglue cant withstand the hot sun.

10:33 You says what now? This is the worst rattle can painting I have ever seen. Clearly has no idea how to use the paint but immediately starts explaining how to do it, even when she's done the complete opposite.

Firstly, we never claimed to be professionals. Please keep this in mind. Secondly, how to spray it was something I learned as the process went on, which is why I said that. I had never worked with bed liner before and it didn't spray as evenly as normal paint. Overall, the end result was great for us and is still holding up really well today. While constructive feedback is welcome, rude opinions are not. Please try to be kinder if you choose to comment on someone else's work. We're all humans doing our best at the end of the day. Happy Building! 🔧🔨

I need to install a factory partition that I picked up used. Were all the fastener just self-tapping sheet metal screws? Where there any rivet nuts installed for the partition? Were there any special bushings or washers on the screws holding the partition in? Thanks!

your fuel pump is installed the wrong way round, and the muffler is installed incorrectly, also upside down... There is a hole in the muffler to drain condensed water, and the pump is supposed to have its electrical connector upside down at 15 to 35 degrees. Regards
@Yo-han-sson
@Yo-han-sson 3 ай бұрын
No, it is installed the correct way. The electrical connector faces towards the suction side of the pump where also the fuel filter is situated. There is a small arrow on the electrical connector that shows the fuel flow which they pointed out in the video. Cheers.

This is a great video! I found this looking for options on how to fix a few sagging points in my newly laid headliner. I did mine by myself and didn't get a chance to lay the indented areas good so it created tension, thus not sticking well. I had put starlights in my headliner so completely redoing everything was out of the question. This video gave me the needle trick option. I went to a Tractor supply and bought syringes and needles. (Any place that sells farm animal stuff should have needles). I popped off the plunger of the syringe and just filled it with gorilla glue. Then I put the plunger back in and attached the needle. Worked like a charm. All the areas I applied glue with the needle are still holding up on my headliner. I did black suede in a 2000 dodge ram 1500. The gorilla glue did harden the headliner material where I applied it but it's not overly noticeable. Im okay with it in a few spots since the alternative for me was to redo 1,040 fiber optics and relay the entire headliner. This video is golden! 🔥 Note: test w/e glue you plan on using against a piece of scrap headliner material. It may cause discoloration or hard spots. Also becarful when pulling the needle out so you don't get glue on the headliner.

@@erikm5753 Hey Erik. I already had a Webasto Dual Pro installed and I wanted one for higher elevation and a back up for chasing snow. So I needed the Dorman 800-176 T connector. But with one heater you only need the Dorman 800-176 for a Sprinter. (Not sure what the Fuel Tap connects are for the other vans). Everything else needed was with unit on purchase.
