This dude reaches in on a running blade to push out a small piece of scrap. Very risky. Mistakes and sudden distractions can happen. Be safe brother.

Never reached into the blade - I reached past the riving knife to move it out and then used scraps

It’s really helpful to know where the blade is going to hit as it exits a piece. I’ll often use this to line up cuts quickly and easily.

Put a neodymium magnet on the end side of the support piece to attach to the riving knife and shape the support piece to encourage the cut piece to fall away from the blade

First thing I do with a new table is score a line and then fill it jiffy marker. Pinpoint accuracy on these cuts and no fading on lines!! If your super anal rub over the score mark with with a block to smooth out!!

@@garryallan824 you’re right. It is 90° to the side but it will not be flat to the other side. And, again, it’s end grain. Feel free to push end grain over a jointer and let me know how that works out for you
