When i was younger i tried replicating my city. That i lived in. Only to have minecraft delete my worlds when they got to a certain point. Regardless there was different players some kids couldnt finish projects but when i was 12-14 i built the space needle, pirate ships space bases was one of the starters of sand redstone. Pre big redstone update.

It depends how it was made, I would say 3 weeks if you do it by hands with only world edit, voxel, gobrush, etc. But around 1 week if you used a map editor (1 day for the map, and 6 days for the details by hand).
