Now some were born to money They've never had to say ?Survive? And others swing a 9 pound hammer Just to stay alive Been there. Done that. Swung that hammer. Still do but now it's a wood splitting mall. 77 and still cut my own firewood.

I challenge you to watch this & let your emotions flow my sista and/or brotha! No better way to show your respects, love & appreciation for the real deal music than representing! Hell, I'm a Gen-Xer, grew up with hippy parents that cut their teeth in their formative years in the 60's & 70's. I had grand parents & great grand parents from the south. Long story short, I bump my country shit for 30 plus years now & don't give a goood Goddamn what those yankie ass holes gotta say about it one bit. Rock on, my friend!

I was at this concert back in the 90's. It was filmed at the end of the show in Greenwood, Mississippi. Half of the audience had already left.

That was a really wonderful day… Tom Roady playing percussion, Mitch Humphries on keyboards and I believe that’s Dave Pomeroy on bass. Peter Kimball put that whole thing together and it was absolutely fabulous!

the difference between this country sound and 90% of what comes out now is that THESE artists could sing and didn't try and have a raspy, over-fluctuating, hiphop voice with a country accent like they settle for today. Marty could hit and then HOLD a note. Singers today have to shake it around because they can't.
