A fantastic video Christina. I have had a very long and extended time away from spending any measurable time watching videos the past few months. A very busy time for me with family issues, travel, and some other long needed home related projects. It appears that I have returned just in time to see your return also. I did not realize that you too were away for awhile. Anyway, I guess enough of that. Things are back to normal again. I was very pleased to see that you had a video uploaded for me. And a very enjoyable one as usual. Algonquin Park never disappoints. Thank you so much for giving us such a great look at it again. I enjoyed this video thoroughly. I am looking forward to much more of it and it appears that you might just be very inspired to accomplish that for us. Thank you in advance for that. Enjoy yourself as much as possible this Winter. Stay happy and healthy my friend, see you on the next one.

@@karenbergmann209 Maybe! Booking a roofed accommodation through Ontario Parks is nearly impossible. As soon as the window to book opens up, five months in advance, they are all taken in minutes. Since the Bruce Peninsula National Park is not part of Ontario Parks, perhaps I’d have better luck? I’ll look into it. Thank you for the suggestion! Nice to hear from you, my friend. 🥰

Hi, I’m really enjoying your videos 😀. Do you find the inflated packraft awkward to portage? Which make and model is it? I’d love to try one out as a replacement for solo canoeing. Thanks for the help!

Thank you for these …they are just right….keep me company on the treadmill. Will be doing GR5 starting late August. Not sure I will finish before the season ends. But we will give it a go. I will be slower than you (73 years old from Okanagan Valley BC. Question …did you need or use All Trails at all? I found it helpful on Pennine Way in May. Really enjoyed Lycian Way on south coast of Turkey ….might be worth some research. How do you drink a beer mid hike ….very impressive

As I did the Tour du Mont-Blanc two times (in 1969 when I was 20, in 1998 when I was 49) I looked with special interest to your videos. Again, it is splendid footage, like your series on the GR10 and GR5. Looking at the videos, it was as if I was walking there myself. Your videos show the essence of hiking in the mountains. In 1969 there we a few other hikers. In 1998 there were many more but not the crowds that I sometimes saw in your videos. There was always place at campings and in refuges. I must say that we both times walked in July which means not in the French top holiday month August, but I have the feeling that the TMB suffers a bit from its own popularity. There are so many other splendid hiking circuits in the Alps, why everybody does the TMB? Your footage confirms my feeling that the TMB is less difficult then other hikes. Both times we did not walk the Arpette variant but in stead the main route over Bovines. The first time we did not climb the famous ladders near Argentière. The second time I did. My opinion is that they look more difficult then they are in reality. A final tought on the snow cap of the Mont Blanc massif. It looks to me that there is less snow and much shorter glaciers. Are we really seeing there the effects of the climate change? It worries me much. I hope to see more trips to Europe in the future. Our continent has much to offer for hikers. A bientôt.

Hello Christina! I hope life is treating you well 😊. I haven't been on YT as much lately but I'm glad to have stopped by & caught this video of yours. So unfortunate that those noisy campers had to be so inconsiderate but I admire your patience & ability to focus on the positive. The night shots, the reflections in the lake were beautiful & the swimming otters were a cute little sight to see 😊. Hope you had a Merry Christmas & if you're in the area next spring/summer maybe we can connect for a mushroom hike! 🍄 All the best, Sharon

@Womaninthewoods13

@@ejk3817 I’m so glad you enjoyed! It would be a very tough call for me to du pose between the GR5 and the GR10. The GR10 was more rustic, so I think I would choose that one. The GR5 had more non-stop views. It was almost too much, haha. And I didn’t like seeing cars where I had hiked to. On the GR10, it was helicopter or hike only. So GR10, but I’d do them BOTH again in a heartbeat. 🥰
